There really aren't any that are any of your business unless you happen to have children with your ex. Then you can ask about things that pertain to their relationship with your child. If you're just trying to make conversation treat her the same way you would anyone else by asking where she's from, what kind of work does she do, etc.

I would say expect for the family to still be in the process of healing.
