It is known that dengue fever can affect the heart in several ways, including weakened force and speed of contraction and slowed pulse rate. Along with some other febrile illnesses ( illnesses with fever) dengue may demonstrate "relative bradyardia", that is, heart rate lower than would be expected for a given level of fever. The mechanism is not clear but may be mediated through the immune system or may be related to an inflammation of the heart. The presence of a relatively slow heart rate in the presence of a high fever is not diagnostic for dengue but indicates the need for testing for dengue, or if testing is not available is probably sufficient indication to treat for dengue. Finally, in the terminal stages of many conditions, including severe hemorrhagic dengue fever, massive loss of fluids out of the circulatory system into the tissues may result from damage to the capillaries (the smallest blood vessels). In these circumstances the body may not be able to compensate for the low circulating volume and blood flow to the vital organs, including the brain and the heart itself may be diminished to critical levels resulting in slowing of the heart, usually as a precursor to death. This cause of bradycardia is more properly regarded as part of the complex process known as "shock" rather than as a symptom of any specific disease.
there is not any bionomial nomenclature of dengue fever. but for dengue virus it is
Group:
Group IV ((+)ssRNA)
Family:
Flaviviridae
Genus:
Flavivirus
Species:
Dengue virus
hoope so you get the mistake you made.
Answer 2
dengue fever is a disease and there is no binomial nomenclature for diseases , even there is no such name for viruses e.g. dengue virus .
Using Coils
Yes it is!
For typical dengue, the treatment is purely concerned with relief of the symptoms (symptomatic). Rest and fluid intake for adequate hydration is important. Aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should only be taken under a doctor's supervision because of the possibility of worsening hemorrhagic complications. Acetaminophen and codeine may be given for severe headache and for the joint and muscle pain (myalgia).

you can try pedia lite... That will only keep your 5 yr old from dehydrating. I am not sure what to tell you. But my daughter has had the same thing. She is almost 5 (will be in May). I am tkaing her to the docs tonight. Let you know what I find out. She hasn't really eaten in the past 6 days. She is pale and always wanting to sleep. I have been giving her Motrina nd it takes the fever away for a few hours and then it is back again!
"Mosquito" is a name for over 3 species of the family Culicidae.
The average life span for these insects varies greatly between exact species and weather, but typically the females live for 3 to 100 days and the males live for 10 to 20 days.
After being bitten by a mosquito carrying the virus, the incubation period ranges from three to 15 (usually five to eight) days before the signs and symptoms of dengue appear.
Dengue starts with
chills,
headache,
pain upon moving the eyes,
low backache.
Painful aching in the legs and joints occurs during the first hours of illness.
The temperature rises quickly as high as 104 F (40 C), with relative low heart rate (bradycardia) and low blood pressure(hypotension). The eyes become reddened. A flushing or pale pink rash comes over the face and then disappears.
The glands (lymph nodes) in the neck and groin are often swollen.
Fever and other signs of dengue last for two to four days, followed by a rapid drop in body temperature (defervescence) with profuse sweating. This precedes a period with normal temperature and a sense of well-being that lasts about a day. A second rapid rise in temperature follows. A characteristic rash appears along with the fever and spreads from the extremities to cover the entire body except the face. The palms and soles may be bright red and swollen.

The fever is caused by mosquito bites. Mosquito acts as a carrier of the Dengue Virus. The virus's main effect is on the PLATELET production. Normally a platelet in our body lasts for about 5 to 10 days and the body replenishes them when required. This virus DESTROYS THE BODY's CAPACITY TO PRODUCE NEW PLATELETs (during the period it is effective). The PLATELET count for a normal person varies from 150,000 - 250,000 per μl (micro litre = mm3 or cubic millimetres) of blood. On getting infected a patient's PLATELET COUNT STARTS FALLING. A PLATELET count BELOW 100,000 per μl (mm3) is ALARMING - immediate medical attention is required. A PLATELET count BELOW 50,000 can be FATAL.
Note: A fall in platelet count PREVENTS FORMATION OF CLOTS - and this leads to HAEMORRHAGE - which results in both INTERNAL & EXTERNAL BLEEDING - once bleeding starts the situation is almost IRRECOVERABLE.

He is my grandfather.. So that's how i knew it... :D
PS. ur welcome :))
The best way is to avoid mosquito bites. Use of spray/coils/repellant creams in the house and sleeping under mosquito nets. Use of nets in the doors and windows or any opening in the house, and spaying of ponds and stagnant water around the area will also help as it prevents breeding of the mosquitos
A) air pollution
B) mosquitoes
C) bedbugs
D) lice
E) careless blood transfusion
F) all of those
Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash that is similar to measles. Getting well takes along time.
Dengue fever also known as breakbone fever, is an infectious tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Dengue is transmitted by the mosquito, Aedes aegypti, which acts as the vector in transmitting the dengue virus.
The mosquito gets infected by the dengue virus when it bites a person who has dengue or DHF. For about a week the virus multiplies inside the mosquito, after which it bites a healthy person, who soon develops symptoms of dengue fever.

use of electrical insect killer
The prognosis for uncomplicated dengue fever is very good, and almost 100% of patients fully recover. However, as many as 6-30% of all patients die when DHF occurs.

dengue fever is one of several viral diseases transmitted via an infected vector, namely the aedes aegypti mosquito. its seems logical to curb the mosquito carrier to prevent transmission to humans, however controlling mosquito populations has up to now been inadequate. vaccination is still years in the future, its development may offer a much effective way of preventing this disease. current dengue fever programs involves education, mosquito control and topical insect repellants- lowell n. avenido, md
