What is John Gielguds repeated role?

It is difficult to answer this question, since Sir John Gielgud
(who died in 2000) had a career that spanned six decades. He became
well-known for his interpretations of Shakespearean characters,
beginning with Hamlet in 1929-1930; his depiction of Hamlet made
him famous in the theater of the 1930s. But during his long career,
he played nearly every major Shakespearean role, some more
successfully than others. He also appeared in several popular
movies, including "Becket" in 1964 and "Arthur" in 1981.

What is the password for faceparty this week?

Since not all of FaceParty is free for use, WikiAnswers
cannot provide you with passwords to gain subscription-level access
to FaceParty. This is receiving something for free that you should
be paying for, which is technically theft. Thus, it is the reason
why we will not provide this information nor allow it to be
available here - it's basically illegal.
Asked in Home Electricity, Entertainment & Arts, Fire Prevention and Protection
How do you calculate a Fire occupancy Load?

The primary factors in the calculation are: the type of
occupancy, along with the available floor space and the available
means of egress.
When creating or modifying a building, the building use and
occupancy load determine the fire resistance requirements. Or the
desired type and occupancy load may help determine the necessary
area and means of egress.
Buildings are classified by the ICC (International Code Council)
by group and division.
Groups - defined
Group A - Assembly
Group B - Business
Group E - Educational
Group F - Factory and Industrial
Group H - Hazardous
Group I - Industrial
Group M - Mercantile
Group R - Residential
Group S - Storage
Group u - Utility
Each group mostly has more than one division, categorized by
number; I.E.
Group A Division 1 , which is the most stringent category for
fire resistant materials and means of egress code rules, is more
stringent than Group A
Division 4.
Like wise , Group U Division 2, which is the lowest requirements
is less stringent
than Group U Division 1 requirements.
In summary, the lower the letter and number, the more stringent
are the fire
resistive , and means of egress components.
To know the fire resistive construction and means of egress
requirements of your building, consult the building code book for
your state ; which may supersede
the I.C.C.
To be absolutely sure ,consult with your local building
department with information about what kind of use the building is
intended for , how big of an occupancy intended , and whether or
not it is connected or near to another business of same or
different classification.

In Little King's Story how do you beat the Owl Hag?

The Owl Hag is the Guardian of the Owl Forest.
Defeating her will unlock Gourmet Town.
The Owl Hag will magically disappear and appear on top of
totem poles and also areas where you can't reach her.
The first thing to do in this battle is to knock all the
totem poles down.
She will attack by summoning owls at you for around
5 seconds at a time.
If you knock down a totem pole while she it on top of it,
count this a bonus because she will fall down and get
confused
for a little while. This is the time to send your people in
to
attack her.
If you've knocked down all of the reachable totem poles, she
will
have no choice but to appear on the ground.
Attack her when this happens.
Continue this process and you will have defeated her.
Your reward will be 2 treasures, worth 3000000 Bol each.
some royal guards that you should take are:
soilders and maybe lumberjacks (for the totem poles)
animal hunters (they will be able to shoot the guardian when you
can reach her like on her house or on the totem pole you cant
destroy)
Asked in Entertainment & Arts, Poptropica
How do you get Poptropica to load faster?

The speed of loading a game online would all depend on the
browser that you are using, so it will only speed up or slow down
if the browser is different. Also, it depends on the temperature of
the computer. PCs don't tend to heat up as much as laptops, so a
laptop could be slow, because it is overly heated.
Another tip to speed up Poptropica is to close all other open
browser windows, especially ones that are running the Flash player.
Sometimes running several instances of the Flash player at once
will cause all of them to slow down. Remember that any open browser
window can have Flash running in it because many web sites use
Flash for advertisements. So to get Poptropica running as fast as
possible, close everything else!

How does the media effect people's personal life?

The Media has always had an effect on the public. First by
education, giving them the news, current events, laws and the
meaning of the laws. This is easily seen in looking at the
newspapers in the American colonies during the period of the
American revolution up through the 1800's, (19th century). Toward
the end of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century,
(1900's), newspapers and radio started using what is now known as
'propaganda' to influence the public to believe or act in a way
toward which the media wanted. The father of propaganda was a man
name Edward Bernays (born Nov. 1891 died Mar 1995), he was the
nephew of Sigmund Freud and member of President Woodrow Wilson's
administration.
NOTE: Working with the Pork producers he came up with one
of his earliest known propaganda campaigns. He had a group of
Doctors sign a study explaining how important it was to eat when
you first woke up in the morning. He then had them agree that Bacon
and Egg's where the best foods to eat for this first meal. They ran
ads in newspapers, magazines, wrote it into movie scripts and on
Radio. The sale of Pork and egg's skyrocketed and to this day most
American's still believe Bacon and Egg's are the perfect breakfast
meal.
So in closing you see the Media has a great effect on the
public. It is up to you to take everything the media tells you with
a 'grain of salt', (use your own ability and knowledge to ensure it
is true). A teacher once told me; don't believe anything you hear,
until after you research it for yourself!

What does an upside down cross mean?

"Some hold it to be a sign used by devil worshippers."
Although some do, this is not the actual meaning of this cross.
The cross is also regarded as the cross of st peter (who was
crucified upside down). Although other people believe this to be a
sign of someone who has lost faith.
There are many cases where people believe poltergeist activity
actually causes this type of behaviour from normal crosses (turning
them at night).

Asked in Entertainment & Arts, Martial Arts, Judo
What are the judo martial arts levels?

Judo uses a typical ranking system for Gendai budo martial arts.
There are six kyu ranks and ten dan ranks. Progression is from 6th
to 1st kyu, and then from 1st to 10th dan. Colored belts include
the white belt (6th kyu), yellow belt (5th kyu), orange belt (4th
kyu), green belt (3rd kyu), blue belt (2nd kyu), and brown belt
(1st kyu). Black belts are used from 1st to 5th dan, red and white
belts from 6th to 8th dan, and solid red belts for 9th and 10th
dan. Currently, the 10th dan is no longer officially awarded to
anyone.

What date was the Merry-Go-Round invented?

The first example of the Merry-Go-Round, or Carousel was in
Paris in 1605. They were developed in Italy though. These usually
took place in squares or large courtyards, and consisted of
elaborately costumed riders and horses (usually from the cavalry)
performing choreographed routines such as forming shapes together,
riding in lines criss-cross against each other. They often took
place at night, with riders carrying torches, and were accompanied
by music. for more info go here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merry_go_round
The fairground machine called a Merry-go-Round or (in America)
Carousel was developed in the 19C when practical power-units made
them viable. Merry-Go-Round is generally the public's, not trade's,
name.
In the UK fair trade at least, they were and are known
generically as "rides", and more specifically by a descriptive or
trade-name. The traditional ride with horse and cockerel
"sculptures" as seats arranged to rise and fall as the machine
rotates, is called a "Galloper".
Initially they were driven by a small steam "centre-engine" on
the truck that forms the machine's base on the fairground, and the
transport trailer for travelling between fairs. Later rides became
powered electrically, from a generator first on the steam
"Showman's Road Locomotive" (large, powerful traction-engine) that
towed the ride from town to town; then on lorries that performed,
and still perform, the same duty.
Typically they were fitted with a "self-playing" organ - using
mechanical perforated-card readers to control the stops and notes -
for the role now taken by the disco sound-system on modern rides.
However the name "steam organ" for these instruments is a complete
misnomer, for although they may have been powered by an auxiliary
steam-engine the pipes always used only air.
British rides always run from right to left as you watch them.
American (& I think Continental European) rides traditionally
go from left to right.
