Will a 1995 tercel engine fit in a 1992 tercel?

yes it will, you will need to change some of the wiring. but it will bolt right up.

Answer 2: if your gonna do a motor swap on a tercel you should def go for the 5 and not the 4. the 92 prolly has that 3ee in it... the 4 is a nice swap but it has problems. the 5 is a better swap because when they made it they had the 4 idea but mixed it witha little bit of the 3ee and there for fixed the problems that the 4 had making the 5 a much better motor to swap... i recomend that if anyone does a swap they should go for the 5....

What would cause the steering wheel to intermitantly catch as you turn it in either direction?

Tie rods?
It could be a number of things but your Tie Rods are a likely place to start. If they are old and are binding it will adversely affect your steering.

Check the steering shaft. on the left side of the motor where the shaft comes from the firewall to the steering rack.

there are 2 u joints for the shaft that rust and seize up.

to check un hook the shaft from the rack and swing the shaft in all directions for both u joints . if the u joint are stiff remove the shaft section there is a bolt under the dash that once removed and the rack bolt is removed the shaft will slide out ... get a good spray lube with a straw and a small screw driver pull back the u joint seals a little making sure not to tear them.

spay the lube in each cap of the joint and move the shaft in all directions until it frees up and then replace and your good to go make sure you do not turn the steering wheel with out the shaft attached so it does not over rotate and screw with the air bag wire in the steering column . also make sure to put a little blue loctite on the shaft bolts so they don't come loose later

How do you take the heater core out of a 2000 Ford Ranger?

You first need to remove the instrument panel. After you remove that then you need to remove the Plenum Assembly. Drain the coolant from the system then disconnect and plug the hoses going to the heater core.

This is not an easy task and should not be attempted unless you are very skilled and very familar with working on vehicles. This is typically an 8+ hour job for a mechanic/technician and involves your air bag system.

1995 and later models are done in this order, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the instrument panel, remove the evaporator core housing, drain the radiator, disconnect the heater hoses, remove the nuts and the plenum chamber, remove the screws and remove the heater core cover, remove the heater core. Installation is reverse of removal. Sounds easy but it can be a lot of work but it is a lot easy than pulling your entire dash. Don't forget to reservice your radiator fluid and havew your air conditioner reservice. You'll save a lot of money following these procedures. Good Luck!

Go to Your local ford dealer ship and ask the service dept to print the insturtions for you. My dealer ship was more than willing. It help ALOT is shows where every bolt is.

Is there a drain plug on an 87 bronco II automatic transmission I added too much fluid and need to remove a little?

Answer
Look and see. If there is not, then the easiest way to remove some fluid is with a small inexpensive hand pump and a long plastic tube stuck down in the dipstick tube. The only other way is to remove the transmission pan.

The bad part is that there is no drain the only way to remove tranny fluid is to drop the pan.

How to replace 1991 dodge spirit heater core?

Disconnect and drain the 2 hoses going to the heater core threw the firewall.

Remove the bottom half of the dash and it should be held in with 4 bolts. It will take afew good hours to complete. But anyone can fix anything on a car with alittle patience... even if the person doesnt exactly know how, they can remove things and remember where they go, and put it all back together in reverse order... Good Luck

How do you take out and put in a heater core in a 92 Jetta GL?

Replacing the heater core isn't too bad AFTER you've learned how to do it. It took me quite a while to do it. If you have AC.... have fun.

I started before finding the guide. Already 1/2 way into it and was pretty lost.

Heres the guide I somewhat follow to do mine, and it helped out alot. Even though there were differences, it's a Jetta II replacement.

Use bags and clearly label them as you start pulling nuts and bolts and screws off. Theres alot, and you'll get pretty confused without doing it....
