Does the check engine soon light come on? If so, have the computer scanned for trouble codes (for free at auto zone in the USA) If a spark control code comes up, try changing your crank position sensor.

You will see steam come from the tailpipe in the winter which is caused by the hot exhaust coming from the engine making contact with the cold metal in the exhaust system. This is normal and no cause for alarm. However if the white smoke does not dissipate almost instantly and seems to continue you may have a blown head gasket. If the exhaust smells sweet you almost certainly have a problem and the gasket is blown. A blown gasket will destroy the engine in time. If you are not sure have it looked at by a professional.

if abs light is on and problem has been fixed, there is a switch on chassis rail under truck about level with front of door. this switch needs to be bled for the abs light to go off, u need a shop manuel to read to tell you the proper sequence to bleed , from memory , this switch needs to be bled before rest of system AFRTER FIX NORMALY DRIVING THE TRUCK A LITTLE WAYS WILL TURN OFF THE LIGHT IF NOT OFF THERE MAY BE MORE THAN ONE PORBLEM THE ABS SENSOR IN THE REAR AXLE HAD SOME WIRING PROBLMES AT THE CONNECTOR. A SCAN TOOL WILL HELP TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT CODE IT HAS AND WHERE THE PROBLEM MAY BE.

There can be an electric fuel pump located on the frame rail under the driver seat area but there is also a mechanical pump that is located on top of the engine near the turbo. The powerstroke uses an injection pump (sometimes called a fuel pump incorrectly). The injection pump on the 1997 is below the lid you must open in order to change the diesel fuel filter. If it needs to be rebuilt you are looking at approximately one thousand dollars so shop around it may make more sense to purchase a new one rather than rebuild.

You going to need a 6 side wrench 1& 3/16 with angle to it hard to get nut with just any wrench .i had to heat one up & bend to make it work.then you two 10mm bolts to remove & 3 hoses difficult to get hose in the middle .its about a two hour job that's having a cold one or two in process,should not be a problem with right tools. (angle wrench 1&3/16) good luck

Underneath the intake manifold, it bolts on at cylinder # 4. or first from the drivers side. It is found right under the EGR Modulator. Disc like device with two vacuum line on the pasenger side and one vacuum line on the driver side. Best way to get to it is to remove the intake manifold.

I have a 1994 dually f350 i wiegh it daily in the job i do with it.It wieghs exactly 7520 lbs but it does have a 9 foot wood and metal flatbed and 7.3 turbo di engine

According to my owners manual for a 1994 F350...at your power distribution box there should be 12 fuses on the far left side, 10 more in the middle, and 5 RELAY switches on the far right. The very top RELAY is a 15amp and should be the one that controls "back-up lamps, daytime running lamp module (Canada only), trailer battery charge relay, Speed control"

Just setting for a week can run the battery down. you need to make sure that your grounds are good, that your alternator is charging at the proper rate and that the voltage regulator is working properly. If all of this is good then you can start unplugging things that drain the battery, radio, power door locks, interior lights etc.. Or if you know how to use a multimeter you take measurements to try to figure out what is draining the battery. Just be aware that a bad ground and all of the stuff that is contantly on (clock, radio memory, ECU memeory...) will drain the battery some. the process of driving the auto daily maintians the battery charge. The newer the vehicle the more power they usually draw an a daily basis. With out further info it is impossible to know what is going on.

1988 buick lasabre stalls and sputters like out of gas not all the time though with full or half tank don't matter....i changed the fuel filter..i added lucas injector cleaner...i just changed the water pump that went seemed to run fine after for 1 day then started acting up again the fuel pump in tank seems to be louder not sure what to change next maybe a sensor ?

You will need to remove the tire and wheel. Remove the nut from the top of the ball joint. Pound the ball joint out with a hammer. Reverse the process to install the new ball joint.
