There are the wires that control the lights on the truck. And there are the wires that go to the trailer tow package. Left turn & stop on the tow pack wires - yellow Right turn & stop on the tow pack wires - green Left turn & stop for vehicle lights - green with a orange stripe Right turn & stop for vehicle lights - orange with a blue stripe There is a secondary fuse panel under the hood that controls the tow pack wires only.

99 percent of the time it is the egr cooler. There was a recal on it look for the update verson of the cooler and have it replaced..

Yes, but only if the engine has sequential fuel injection.

Look at the wiring diagram for the injection system.

If the engine computer (ECU, ECM) controls both the positive

and the ground side of the injectors, then it's sequential.

If the engine computer only controls one wire of each injector,

it is "bank fired", meaning a group of injectors (all of them for a 4 cylinder)

fire at the same time, and the fuel mist sits above the intake valves

for a short time before they open.

If the engine has throttle body injection (TBI, DPFI, etc. 1 or 2 injectors sit away from the engine where a carburetor would) then the injector(s) usually fire when the #1 spark plug does, and you can see the fuel spray with a timing light.

I had a 1998 Jetta, but I don't remember if they had remote entry. If it does, buy a remote entry blank off of ebay. Then, go to the dealer with the VIN and proof of ownership and have them cut and program the key. If it doesn't have remote entry, just talk to a dealer. Like you said, your son has the "Valet" or "Sub Master" key. Take it to a Locksmith and he/she can cut your son a new master. Ilco blank# X203

Make sure the master cylinder is kept full of fluid at all times and put your helper inside with foot on clutch petal, with the car jacked up and stands in place locate slave cylinder on drivers side and place a 11mm wrench on the bleed valve,. have the cockpit man push on the petal and hold it down, then open valve and let air and fluid escape being careful not to get fluid in eyes, tighten valve and tell helper to let petal return. its petal down-loosen-tighten-petal up. Repeat this process several times to remove air.

The power distribution box is located under the hood on top of the driver's side fender and marked "powers distribution box"

It is cheaper if you have a doner car to get the needed parts off of. CAlll a couple of local garages for estimates. This is not a job for a back yard mechanic.

I called VW shop and they told me that it was under the battery. There's some that have 14 pins and some others 16pins. They're expensive!!

Fuel lines can get contaminated by particles in the gas that attract moisture. The moisture forms in the gastank when there are temperature differences (cold at night, hot during the day)and when there is a lot of moisture, it can get in your fuel line, and eventually in your engine. That'll stop your engine running if there is too much of it. What you can do (what they do with outboard engines on boats) is install a second fuel filter, which acts as a water trap, or you can drain your tank, or you can buy a fuel drying agent... ask your garage or car accessories shop. They can probably help. Good luck.

Your block heater cord is located under the air box on the drivers side near the radiator support. You can also follow the cord from directly above the oil filter on the oil filter housing.

There is no need to reset it there is way to reset it if the valve is a problem it has to be replaced I think there is another problem but I have no way of knowing what it could be

i would say somewhere around 14mpg because i have a 96 7.3 with turbo and superchip and i get around 16mpg. before i put in the chip i got about 14mpg.

because you have your heat on when you see it. White exhaust smoke is a sign of coolant entering the combustion chamber. If you are loosing coolant, then you more than likely have either a blown head gasket, or a cracked head, especially if the engine has overheated recently. Stop driving this car immediately or severe engine damage will occur. Change the oil & filter and drive it to a professional for repair.

The 2005 Ford F3 50 horn fuse can be found in the fuse box. The horn fuse will be in the second column, fourth from the top.
