drain antifreeze, remove small hose between radiator and radiator fill tank, unplug wire on air intake tube, loosen clamp on air intake tube, pull air restriction gauge from the back of air filter, if yours has one it just pulls out, pull air intake tube off main body of air filter and pull the main body of the air filter up and out, no bolts, take the lower clamp off the top radiator hose and pull it up off, 2-13 mm nuts and it's off, some have a bracket mounted to the thermostat bolts if yours does it is unplug the wire 2-13 mm nuts lift bracket to the side and 2 more 13 mm for the thermostat, lift off old one put on new one no gasket the o-ring is made into it, reassemble should take less then 1 hour

I have a '95 'bird, w/4.6L, and according to the owners' manual it hold 16 gallons. The '97 is probably the same, however, the V6 equiped car holds 'bout a gallon less. c-ya grade a da mopar man! Answer: The '96 t-bird holds 18 gals of gas in both 8 and 6 cyls. The '97 is basically the same car--almost all parts are the same.

A blanket question like that is almost impossible to answer that gives you any useful information. If the turn signal isn't working something isn't working, whether it's the turn signal switch, flasher, wire, fuse, connector or bulbs. Your challange isn't fixing the problem, it's finding which component has failed, then the rest of it is simple.

Most of these trucks have Dana 60s in the front of them. Look up the markings of a "Dana" axle on Google and the ID charts should help you identify your axle.

If 4-wheel drive is not needed, you should unlock the front hubs. Yes, the hubs remain locked even if your front transfer case is not set to 4-wheel drive, and this can be very hard on both the hubs and transfer case.

1) operator error. check dimmer switch setting.

2) all bulbs faulty, check and replace as needed

3) bad (burned or corroded) headlight switch. expect taillights to be out, your question indicated this is not so

4) loose connection at electrical connector to helight switch. Try moving tilt column and wiggling connector

I have an Excursion with the V10 , and the engine has turned 200K kilometers ( this is about 125k miles)

The engine is still in perfect condition after 12 years of driving , and I expect the engine to work for at least 12 years more or double the distance. Last 5 years i have been running it on E-85 fuel , ( special motor software ) and no problems what so ever.

You don't have to, I don't know what model you have but all use self tensioning belt drive systems. This is a spring loaded pulley which holds the correct tension. if you have noise or slipping you either have miss routed the belt, part failure, old belt.

If you are looking down it is behind the fan on the passengerside of the motor right above the crankshaft pully it has a 10mm bolt on it and a three wire harness with a piece of chrome sticking out over the pulley.

yes it will but you will have to change the engine wiring harness over, or change the 7.3L glow plugs over to the 6.9L style and change the glow plug controller as well

A person needs a steering wheel puller to remove a steering wheel. It will help remove the steering wheel by putting pressure on the middle and by pulling up on the rest of the steering wheel.

That the 7.3 L diesel in that truck has a turbo charger on it which uses the exhaust from the motor to spin a fan that forces more air into the cylinders to create more power.

Here's a better answer. On the 7.3L (and other models) its called MGP manifold gauge pressure. Or boost for short. Exhaust gas from the engine flow into the exhaust side of the turbo spinning the exhaust turbine which is connected to the compressor turbine on the compressor side of the turbo. This compressor side turbine spins extremely fast around 10-12,000 RPM and compresses the air coming from the air cleaner. After compressing the air the air is hot. It then goes threw an inner cooler which does 2 things cools the compressed air and when cooled makes it more dense as well. After the air is compressed and condensed it is then packed into the cyl to be compressed again and ignited by diesel fuel. Basically boost is taking all the air in lets say your living room and compresses it to the size of that cyl. So if any part of the system is open via a hose clamp,torn boot,etc. That air isn't making it to the engine, the cyl are not getting as full of air as they can and boom you lack power.

1. REMOVE CABLES FROM YOUR BATTERY. 2. JACK YOUR CAR AND SET IT ON JACK STANDS 3. YOUR STARTER SITS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE OIL FILTER. YOU WILL NEED A 12mm AND 14mm SOCKET AND TWO EXTENTIONS. 4. FIRST REMOVE THE UPPER BOLT OF THE STARTER. FOLLOW THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE AND YOU'LL SEE IT LOOKING FROM THE TOP LEFT SIDE OF THE ENGINE. YOU'LL NEED AN EXTENTION AND A 14mm SOCKET FOR THIS. WHILE YOU ARE HERE ALSO DISCONNECT THE GRAY PLASTIC CONNECTOR ON THE STARTER. 5.REMOVE THE BRACKET THAT MOUNTS TO THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THE ENGINE (SITS AT ABOUT 45 DEG). THIS BRACKET HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STARTER BUT MAKES LIFE A LOT EASIER WHEN TAKING OUT THE STARTER. THESE ARE 12mm BOLTS THAT HOLD THE BRACKET IN PLACE. 6.NOW REMOVE THE POSITIVE CABLE (12mm) FROM THE STARTER. THIS IS THE AFT STUD ON THE SOLENOID. 7. REMOVE THE BOTTOM MOUNTING BOLT. (again 14mm bolt) 8. PULL OUT THE STARTER. (PRETTY EASY IF YOU HAVE THE CAR RAISED)

INSTALL IN REVERSE ORDER. HAVE FUN

The signal and emergency flashers are located behind the plastic lower dash panel. Remove the few screws holding the panel and drop the panel down. You will see the flashers aprox above the transmission hump area.
