any good 10w30 is sufficient... there are hi mileage types and anti sludge formulas too. Some use 5w30 in summer.

If you have already ordered a new top there may be instructions in the box, but beware, it is not as easy as it looks, we own a trim shop and people think there is nothing to replacing conv tops, wrong, it takes a ton of patience and some basic know how, if your a handy person, may be able to do this, if not, call a trim shop in your area. Yes. But a little spendy. The AC was a VW Dealer option so it is no longer made. Do a search on the internet for Beetle AC and there is a couple of after-market kits available.

I would suggest not changing it yourself when I did it I was told to loosen alternator then its in the way ended up messing up the power steering hose. just cheaper to take it to your local kia dealer

It is your blower motor regulator, the contacts have worn out with age which is why the setting you most like used the least was the last one working, it is a cheap replacement if you can do it yourself. But you will have to get behind the dash in most cases.

The 1.0L G10 I3 engine in the Geo Metro puts out 60 hp, but in the XFi model, only puts out 49 hp.

The engine management has detected something wrong. Get the diagnostic code read and go from there. If you have changed the battery or a fuse recently it could just be the data bus has spiked and needs resetting.

The PCV Valve is located in between the valve cover and the air cleaner. There is a vacuum hose that connects to the top of it. You will need to remove the air cleaner first and then remove the vacuum hose. Once the hose is removed you will need to remove 1 screw from the small bracket that is holding down the PCV Valve. Be careful and try not to messup the head of the screw, as the material that the screw is made up of is quite soft. So use a screw driver that fits the head.

The difference between a Metro and a Prizm are pretty big.

The Metro is made for fuel MPG and therefore it is stripped down, basic items, fairly rattly ride. It is for getting the big miles in MPG (43/51). It is for basic transport. Small 3 cylinder 1.0 litre Suzuki engine not made for consistent highway abuse.

The Prizm is a little more upscale than the Metro. It features luxuries such as A/C, Automatic Transmission, Power Windows, 4 cylinder Toyota powerful engine and it is bigger inside and out. It is not recommended if you want big MPG, but if you like basic comforts.

The Geo family really shared no mechanical parts in fact all that most of them had in common was the Geo emblem and decals placed on the cars,

The Metro was based on a suzuki design and came in three trim levels XFi, Base, and LSi a three cylinder engine and four cylinder engine were offered, The Metro LSi could be out fitted with many options including automatic, a/c, power steering, and contrary to what the answer above states the Metro was very well equipped for an economy car and it had no problem on the highway.

The Geo Prizm was based on the Toyota Corolla and was much more luxurious compared to the Metro it offered three trim levels as well base, LSi, and GSi. The Prizm also offered excellent gas mileage 31 / 35 mpg both the Metro and Prizm were excellent cars as were the entire Geo brand

There should be a label under the hood that tells you what the setting is. If you don't have that label, you can call your local Suzuki dealer and they can tell you. If you have to guess, I'd try around 6 to 10 degrees before top dead center. Or you can just do like me and set it by ear. If it starts with little effort and you don't get any pinging or valve rattle under heavy load or going up hills, you've got it pretty close.

According to Cars.com: 10.6gal Looking online I've found a few people say that they've only filled it with 7 or 8 gallons so the other 2.6 must be below E on the gauge.

I just bought mine with half a tank of gas and after about 70 miles it now has an eighth or so. I'm interested to see how much it takes when I fill it up.

On the 3 cylinder model the firing order is 1-3-2

I have a 1991 geo metro with a 1.0 liter 3 cyl. that takes 3.7 quarts with filter.I also have a 1991 geo tracker 1.6liter four cyl.that takes 4.6 quarts with filter.If you put in 3 quarts for the 3 cyl and 4 quarts for a 4 cyl then top off as needed you can't go wrong.

Every block has one (L4 or L6) or two (V6 or V8) coolant drains. Not always easy to access.

You can get a fuse diagram for a 1992 Geo Metro in the car's owner's manual. You can also check with different auto stores.

My 92 model Geo spark Plug gap is 0.39 thousands of an inch. One Liter 3cyl/5sp. Plug is a ngk BPR6ES-11 Hope this helps

All I do is remove the radiator cap (wait until car is cold and open cap slowly) and start the car. let it warm up. the thermostat will open and begin fully circulting the coolant. if there is any air bubbles in the system they should work theirselves out. another thing to do after the thermostat opens is slowly squeeze on the lower radiator hose, careful not to spew coolant out of the radiator.

I do not know when the changeover was, but models made late in 96 use the 30013222. I found out the hard way- bought a non-refundable switch from an Aug 96 model. Mine is a Mar 96, and uses the 30015433. You can ask your Chevy dealer to check it out by using your VIN.

Well this can be re-filled by removing the gear shifter; simply remove the plastic cover then remove the rubber boot at the base of the shifter,then remove four 13mm bolts that hold the shifter in place. Slide out the shifter then slowly pour your gear oil in the opening. Be patient because it fills slowly. Replace everything you just removed. thank you for your comment but a 300zx has a linkage between the shifter and the transmission. in other words the shifter is not mounted into the transmission itself. i did find another way. i removed the exhaust and the drive shaft to get to the output shaft end of the transmission. i had a gallon jug of gear oil with a pump that mounts on the bottle.i cut the open end off of an advil bottle and poked a hole in the bottom just big enough for the tip of the hose that is on the pump. the reason i chose the advil bottle is because it is the same diameter as the yolk on the driveshaft. i used electrical tape and went around the hose and the bottle until the hose was good and tight. then i just shoved the open end into the back of the transmission and pumped away. i used 3&1/2 quarts of oil. when i pulled the hose out a small bit of oil leaked back out and i had a bucket ready underneath to catch the excess oil. then i just put everything back together.
