Any GPS device will work anywhere on Earth. That is, if you have a good
battery in it, it'll accurately show your longitude, latitude, and elevation.
But there may still be a few countries that won't let you bring a GPS into
the country with you.
It depends on the type system you are looking for, for a hand held that only gives directions I found the Tom Tom to be the best in both value and features. However, if you are looking for a GPS vehicle tracking and anti-theft system then I found the Millennium Plus to be the latest cutting edge technology. It can be found at www.findvehicle.net and gives you a multitude of useful features.
How do you get your new initial gps system updated?
I would recommend either visiting the manufacturer's website, or find a GPS web forum to find out the process for your exact brand & model. The instructions, availability and various requirements can change very dramatically even within similar models from the same brand, so you will want to ensure you are following tested steps when you get your maps and update the device. It could be as easy as downloading a file and copying it to the device via USB, or you may need to purchase the maps on an SD card in order to get the updated maps.

How do you sync your iPod to a different computer?
An iPod can only be synced to one iTunes Library at a time (each computer has a different library).
This means that, if you want to change the computer you manage your iPod with, it will need to be re-synced to the computer in question.
To do this, connect your iPod to the computer you'd rather manage your iPod on. A popup from iTunes will say something along the lines of "This iPod is currently synced to a different Library. Would you like you sync this iPod to this Library instead?" Click Yes.
After that, all the previous information from your other computer's iTunes Library will be erased and replaced with everything that you just synced your iPod with.
From there, you can freely sync your iPod with that computer as you normally would.
Want to see my home from a GPS live?
OK I do not want to sound like a jerk but if you want to see your house from a GPS you just hold the GPS in front of you house and look at it. Just kidding. Actually I think you asked your question wrong. A GPS is used for telling you where you are at or to help you get to a specific place. I am assuming your question is really "Can I look at my house live from a satellite?" I don't know that answer but you might want to ask your question that way because all the GPS will do is tell you where you are.

What is slot working mechanism in railway control panel and how is it useful to the station master?
In railway control panels, the slot working mechanism is a method of assigning specific time slots for trains to pass through a particular section of the track. This helps in regulating train movements efficiently and avoiding conflicts by ensuring that only one train occupies a specific track section at a given time. For the station master, this system is useful as it facilitates better coordination of train movements, reduces the chances of collisions, and enhances overall safety on the railway network.
Have you heard anything on the Initial GPS Navigation GM-510?
purchase this unit and took it to orlando, florida the next day.....very easy to learn to use. very reliable. spent 10 days with this gps and never missed a show, dinner or intersection to turn.....unit will quickly re-route you if you miss a turn.....very much appove and enjoy this gps unit. Yep.. see my site www.butkus.org/initial/ Yes, I have one. So far it works well. The user guide is nearly useless but the system functions fine. The display is easily visible day or night. The MP3 Player also plays wma files. Navigation is easy and works as well as any other computer navigation system.
If you want a GPS unit that simple takes you to your destination, here ya go. It doesn't take pictures or play videos or give you moon phases - it just tells you how to get someplace. The larger screen is nice but the fonts used for street names can be a little hard to read. The Initial uses the same NAVTEQ data as the name brands so the directional performance should be the same. But as has been said, getting an update is unlikely.. Good basic large screen unit for the money.

for 4KHz then for noisy channel using Shannon theorem, sampling rate will be 8K samples/sec. So with 2 bit encoding, 2 bits are sent per sample. So the data rates is 8000 samples / sec * 2 bits = 16000bits / sec = 16kbps.
just so you know, all trucks used to have a full 24 volt system and cars had a 6 volt system so the design is not a nightmare. still a lot of tractors about with a 6 volt system. now a good electrician can connect a 12 volt unit to a 24 volt system if he knows what he is doing it is just a matter of knowing where to do it on a battery. you can also buy a voltage converter and wire it in. and yes you can still buy 24 light bulbs Before you go deep inside this, check the voltage on the cigarette lighter. It should only be 12 volts. The 24 volts are used in starting the truck only. By thinking this through, designing a vehicle that worked on a 24-volt electrical system would be a disaster. No one would buy it. All the current electrical components for vehicles are for 12-volt systems. Lights, gauges, radios - everything! How much trouble would it be to replace something like, say, a map light if a 24-volt lamp had to be located? Alternativley Check the powercable as many of them can work on different voltage say from 10 to 30 volts and power the gps with the correct voltage.
Is the Garman i3 a good or bad GPS?
I have the garman iQue. I love this gps system. Works great. They have a cradle/charger accessory for your vehicle. Screen is bright. The only downside to this unit is the battery life when not in the cradle. You could solve this with an accessory battery pack if you wanted to use the unit hunting, hiking etc. I've used this garmin for 3 years with no problems other than an occasional reset. I have the Garmin i5 which is the same as the i3 ecept the maps come preloaded. It is an excellent GPS, that I highly recommend.
Global Positioning System (GPS) uses the signals from geosynchronous satellites to provide accurate position information for navigation. As such utilizing GPS for navigation amounts to utilizing satellite navigation ("sat nav").
Note that while GPS, which was developed by the US government is the most widely used satellite navigation system, Russia also has the Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) deployed which can provide essentially the same satellite navigation capabilities - and can be used in along with GPS to get faster and more accurate position information. The EU, Japan, China, and India are also working to deploy a satellite navigation systems.
Certainly, It will work no matter how the unit is used, as long as it has line of sight to at least three satellites. The speed in which it makes corrections is constant and usually several times a second, therefore, whether you are walking or driving it works the same.
How do you find the location of a repossessed vehicle?
It would depend on what state you are in. In Florida, state law requires the repo person to call the local police department when a car has been reposessed, this is done so that they do not waste their time on a stolen vehicle report if you should call it in as stolen. The local Police might know which company repo'd the vehicle. The repo company then is supposed to contact the owner (usually in writing via snail mail) and give them 45 days in which to redeem the vehicle (normally for whatever amount you are behind plus the repo & storage charges fees) or pick up any belingings that were in the car (with a storage fee of course). By Florida Law, the tag is your property so they have to give that to you with no charge.
