What do Goth believe in?

The definition of a goth is basically a person who dresses in black and listens to heavy metal music so as to appear very emo or solitary. Goths are entitled to believe in whatever they want to believe in although a good percentage are free thinkers as they prefer not to be "chained to a religion" or they want to maintain the cool aloofness that most goths seem to radiate.
in the dark clothes dark attitude and way cool.!

What is an elite goth?

An Elite Goth is almost identical to your "typical" goth. The differences are usually the following:

-Over the age of 25

-Will REFUSE to shop anywhere goth clothing is sold (Hot Topic)

-Sneers at other, younger goths

-Is more pathetic than its younger counterparts

-Not as attractive as its younger counterparts (this is due to living a life of being a bum and not having a job that offers medical/dental care)

The best way to spot an elite goth is to judge its reaction to other goths. Elite Goths will always act like they're better and will whine about it to other Elite Goths. They will constantly refer to their youth as the "good ol days" when they had to search thrift stores for clothes or make them instead of having Hot Topic to go to. And they drink absinthe.

Who is Anna-Varney Cantodea?

AVC is the german artist writing music for a band called "Sopor Aeternus & the Ensemble of Shadows". He looks like a unsexual man, with big piercings in the ears, white made up skin, wearing a black dress and with a bunch of hair in the middle of the head. Not a lot is known about this guy living in the area of Hamburg. Inspirated by death and transexuality, he wants to be called "she", even if no operation is done. Active from the beginning of the 80's, he has published several music CD in a gothic style: classical instruments, or even medieval ones, mixed with high computer technology. Cantodea, a pseudonym, refers to "singer" in latin.

A metal song that samples an opera song?

Most bands using those elements compose them on their own, rather than sampling. On the first Cadaveria album, the intro to the opening track "Spell" seems to be sampled from an Opera record, although I'm not well-versed enough about Opera to tell you the source. See related link at the bottom.

Edit: Okay, so, according to the information at the link, the intro segment is from Giuseppe Verdi, La Traviata, act II, scene XV.

What is whispers of wonder?

The next band to grace the face of Unsigned and Unholy are Whispers of Wonder from Portland, Oregon (USA). These guys are a 5 piece "Melodic Wondercore" band which consists of Lukkie Thornton (lead vocals), Chree Thornton (guitar and vocals), Austin Shaner (bass and vocals), Hayden Dent (drums and vocals) and Tristen Warren (guitar and vocals).

These guys are all about making music that inspires people. They plan to prove to the world that the cliché of rock stars being fame hungry is so not true and that they can use their music to spread love, hope and encourage people to follow their dreams. They don't want to just change the music industry, they want to change the world!

By combining brutal yet emotional lyrics with head pounding beats and guitar sequences sweet enough to make your teeth rot, this band really are a treasure. It's not often that you find a band who are all about making people happy instead of seeing how many girls they can get.

They just released their single "Plague of the Broken-Hearted" on iTunes and will be on Zune and Rhapsody pretty soon. Also, if you go and Like their Facebook page, they have the new track on there as well.

Is joey jordison a goth?

Why are you a goth?

most people dont really use that lable anymore that are "goth" and most that do are in their teens

i think for a lot of them it has to do with teen angst and depression

they dress they way they do because they feel like theyve been rejected from society so they want to reject themselves even further from the people who they feel dont understand them

however, the 18+ "goths" i think its more about the artisic expression - the really white vampire-like skin and the dark clothing and makeup and hair .. there are also different styles of gothic people.. some have the more victorian style, where the makeup isnt as extreem but its very antiquy.

then there are the vampire type goths that just sort of want to become vampires or roll play as them, and thats where the really white skin and the wierd contact lenses and stuff and fake blood and blood play with knives and stuff come in

then there are the more industrial type fetishy club goths.. its really about the look with them, those are the ones that look like the arrived on a gothic spaceship with the goggles on their heads and the big snynthetic dredlocks and the vinyl and synthetic clothing and the huge boots

then there are those that wear vinyl and are into fetish that you might consider goth, but i dont really consider them gothic.

it's also kindof based around the "goth" bands..

kinda a lifestyle that goes with the music

for some laughs there is a really funny little book that is called "What Is Goth?" and its like a joke kindof laughing at and with the gothic culture.

If you're asking me personally then I am Goth because I feel that's me, I am comfortable with my lifestyle and I feel like I know where to go. This is just the same how you live, with your clothes and what you listen to.

I have been Goth since I was 11, I am now 15. Of course I didn't know anything about it but fate brought it to me if you like. I had no idea why I started calling myself it but I felt drawn to it and here I am now developing my style, music taste and life. I adore the music, fashion and art. I love the literature too. Almost everything about me fits neatly in to the Gothic subculture and it's easier than coming out as that than saying everything I have here.

As you'll see, especially in models, most Goths are adults who have been apart of the subculture for years (almost when it formed). If Goth if Goth fashion, music, literature didn't exist I wouldn't know what else to dress in because I literally like no modern clothing, but that's just me personally, walk in to New Look and there's literally nothing I like except for some dark pattened leggings but there you go.

You could ask thousands of Goths why they are and you'll get different sub answers but you'll most likely get one frequent answer "I feel it's who I am".

What songs do the goth kids on south park listen to?

The songs they listen to are mock recordings of famous goth bands (Bauhaus, seen as 'Blauhaus' in a poster located in the goth girls room), and an industrial band called 'Skinny Puppy'.

Because of the misconception of death metal=Goth, a lot of people assume the goth kids from the show listen to metal, but not once in the entire series do they mention metal, let alone listen to it.

Why do people turn to Goth?

People turn to goth for countless reasons, the same as someone decides to be Christian, gay, celebate, etc. Turning to goth is not a last resort, or like deciding to break the law, or move house... it is a decision that affects that person's lifestyle, and can have great impact. Reasons could be faith, boredom, style, interests, friends, etc. The only way to know why people are goth is to ask them individually, as neither goth nor reasons for being goth can be generalised and used in terms of all those involved.

also and for me to hide somthin huge embaressing or to hide in the shadows

Is billie joe Armstrong emo or goth?

He is neither he is just punk.

Billie Joe is punk he has never been emo or goth.

When did goth music begin?

I think goth began in the early 1980s, during the post-punk period. Punk had its heyday in the seventies, and by 1982, punk as a movement was over. Around this time -- the early eighties -- punk was morphing into two very different styles of music: hardcore punk like Black Flag and the Dead Kennedys, and new-wave bands like Depeche Mode and the Cure. And Depeche Mode and the Cure are basically the archetypal, prototypical goth bands. So, I would say that goth began in the early-to-mid 80s as part of the new wave movement, and then split off into its own genre as the 80s progressed.
