Gpa for George Washington University?
George Washington University is located in Washington D.C. There is no minimum required GPA required for admission to the college.
Is there a scholarship for you if your GPA is bellow the required GPA?
I've run into a couple scholarships that were for students who weren't doing as well in school.
What GPA do you need in order to get into a State university?
You can get in with a 2.5 GPA, perhaps lower?
What is your GPA if you have mostly Bs?
Your GPA, if you mostly get B's is about a 3.0 depending on what your school goes by, but normally, this is how it goes:
4.0= A
3.0= B
2.0= C
1.0= D
If your GPA is 3.45 can you get into Columbia University or Cornell University?
Well, that depends. Grades aren't all that matters. U must b involved in extracurricular activities and complete all ur hours of community service. Maybe u should do more than wat's required, cuz those colleges r very hard to get in 2.
If you made a 34 on the ACT and have a 4.24 GPA could you get a full ride to vanderbilt?
It depends on your financial situation. No matter how good of a student you are, some schools onl give money to people who need it. With those solid grades, if you need a full ride to vanderbilt, they can probably give you one. Go on their website to see if they meet 100% of demonstrated financial need. If they do, that means as long as you can prove you need the money, they will give it to you. You can probably get all this information on their website under the financial aid section.
Good Luck.
Your undergraduate GPA was 3.75 and you were not given magna cum laude why?
You should check with the Office of the Registrar at your school. Inquire about the exact GPA requirements for honors. I have seen some schools that have a cutoff as high as 3.85 GPA for Magna Cum Laude. Each school may have different GPA cutoffs. I am assuming they did give you at least Cum Laude.
For Carnegie Mellon, according to the Princeton Review, the average acceptance GPA is 3.61.
What is the minimum GPA required for admission to Harvard University?
4.0 maybe lower but that's the easiest way to get in.
What GPA do you need to get into Gonzaga?
The class of 2012's average was around a 3.6. It would be unlikely for the University to accept anyone with a GPA below a 3.2, however Admissions determines each applicant on a case-by-case basis.
Is a cumulative GPA of 3.882 good?
A cumulative GPA of 3.882 on a 4.0 scale is an excellent average by any standard. Please understand, however, if you are applying to a very competitive college, that some colleges "weight" averages to take into account AP courses, quality of the high school as reflected by mean SAT scores and other factors, etc. Therefore, some students who have taken a lot of AP courses, may have a GPA in the range of 4.2 or higher.
What is my GPA if i have an acccff on my report card?
You cannot calculate the GPA without knowing how many credits each course is worth and where the grades were obtained (high school, college, etc.)
Can the score on your GED raise or lower your overall grade point average?
Absolutely NOT. This is apples and oranges. Your GPA is your GPA - period. What GPA do most colleges require for entrance?
Most colleges and universities indicate a 2.0 for general admissions. However, they do look for the students with the higher GPA. In addition, the GPA for general admission can be quite different than the GPA requirement for specific programs of study (majors). In other words, the GPA is often program specific. A liberal arts program may require a 2.0 GPA, but a business program may require a 3.2 GPA. Thus, it depends on the school (if competitive), and the specific program of study within that school. Also. remember the GPA is only one part of the admissions criteria. They may also look at standardized test scores, rigor of high school program, class rank, essay (if required), interview (if required), extracurricular activities, volunteer work, etc.
Can you get into Baylor University with a 3.8 GPA and a 22 ACT score?
Possibly. The published ACT composite range is 23-29, and Baylor requires students take the writing section. Your high GPA will help offset the slightly low ACT score, as would a high class rank. To be on the safe side, you should probably sit for the ACTs (or SATs) again.
What is the average GPA for incoming freshman at Stanford?
I'm not sure about UCB, but the average GPA of accepted freshmen for Stanford is around 4.3
Is a 5.6 GPA good on a unweighted scale?
If every grade at your D's school is worth 4.0, including AP and honors classes, that means that her school runs on a completely UNWEIGHTED system. In some schools, AP and honors classes are "weighted" -- adjusted to account for class difficulty. In weighted systems, AP and honors classes are worth 5.0 credits; A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, etc. So, if you were to have all APs and all Bs, your weighted GPA would be 4.0.
Weighted GPAs are pretty pointless though, colleges mainly care about unweighted GPAs.
It still doesn't make much sense unless colleges actually have their internal weighting system.
If you have a 4.0 system, and then for AP classes grade on a 5.0 system and combine the grades it may be difficult for colleges to compare. I assume colleges have a pretty sophisticated way then to compare. I would be curious if colleges scale everything back to a 4.0 scale internally to compare and contrast candidates.
When students give their GPA on this post, they don't often point out what sort of grading system it is.
I have heard of some schools using a 4.3 school with A+ being the highest etc. But I don't consider this a 4.0 scale then, it would be a 4.3 scale.
Do college applications actually request weighted or unweighted calculations?
The difference makes it hard to predict somethings. For example, my daughter received a brouchure from University of Miami. It says average weighted GPA for admitted students is 4.2. What does this mean?
Is is giving AP classes a 5.0 scale, as suggested above. If so, this isn't a very high GPA.
If it is on a 4.3 scale, with AP classes given a one/third step increase (for example an A- gets a 4.0 instead of a 3.66 and an A gets a 4.3), then it is pretty good.
If so, how does a school like Miami calculate from a school that does not have a weighted system. Do they actually go through a transcript and assign a high score to some grades and recalculate.
It seems easier to simply use an unweighted 4.0 system and then judge the difficulty of the courses in evaluating an applicant.
This means that 5.6 does not exactly exist. If it did, you would be the smartest.Yes! You have a very good chace of getting into many of the top schools in the US . You have nothing to worry about. Although colleges like to see that you are doing other activities besides school, such as sports and community service!
dental schools require DAT scores not MCAT scores. they are two separate tests.
Can you get into college with a 2.3 GPA and a very BAD SAT score?
Absolutely. Try state schools. There are many schools that are not all that competitive, but offer great programs. Another option is to try to do really well during your senior year, and take one year between high school and college. One more option is to look into a community college, which usually have very low entrance requirement, but if you do well the first year, you should be able to transfer out. 2.3 is not going to get you into any competitive colleges, but there are plenty of great colleges out there that are not competitive. Also, if GPA is your weak point, make sure you have other things that schools will like (volunteer/leadership activity, good essays, good letters of recommendation, etc.) Good luck

http://www.acenet.edu/resources/GED/center_locator.cfm When I went to High School, my mother, who is mentally ill, threw me out of the house at 16. I had to take care of myself and get myself through High School during the last two years. To be honest with you, it was very hard. I had many obstacles to overcome that most children will never have to go through. I didn't even need more than four years of High School. And yes, I graduate with a B average. Let's see, I grew up with a mentally insane individual. I was continually told I would never amount to anything. I was physically and sexually abused. However, it only took me four years to graduate High School. If it takes you six years, and you didn't go through what I went through, even I wouldn't hire you. And I interview Grammy-Award Winning and Grammy-Nominated artists for a very well know media outlets. Life is what you make of it. You just have to be determined to win. Six years is too long. As far a GED goes, I would have to question the individual as to why they did not Graduate High School. If they went through a very difficult childhood, such as being physically or sexually abused, then I would understand. If they were just lazy, honestly, I wouldn't hire them either.
What if you have 28 questions and you got 5 wrong?
If all the questions are weighted the same, then you got 82% correct. In some grading systems, that would be considered a low B or B-. It depends what grading system is being used.
WHAT IS 3.84 GPA ON A 4.0 GPA SCALE?
For a school that grades on a plus system, it would be a B+. For a school that grades on a minus system, it would be an A-. In any event a GPA of 3.84 is excellent work and worthy of high honors.
--------------------------------
The above answer is incorrect. A 3.84 is at least an A on a 4.0 scale. Anything above a 3.49 is an A or A+. This is the standard American 4.0GradePercentageGPA value:A90-100 3.5-4.0;B80-89 2.5-3.49;C70-79 1.5-2.49;D60-69 1.0-1.49;F0 - 59 0.0
