How did The Great Wall of China impact the world?

It made the world a smaller place. And made it bigger at the same time.

The answer is "The Great Wall of China impacted the world very slowly," since the verb impact really means "to run into something, or to hit it." Slow building, laying a few bricks at a time.

If you meant "How did the Wall affect the world?" the answer is "Only symbolically," as all such efforts do, being a sign to its enemies that the State was weak and a reminder to its people that the State was heartless.

How did the Great Wall of China impact the environment?

The Great wall didn't impact the environment much as the north area of China is mostly desert-like. The building materials used to construct it did not create much of an impact either. Keep in mind, only the kind of population such as modern day's can create a huge impact.

It can be argued that the wall separated a few populations of animals, but that shouldn't matter unless you're asking about evolutionary biology.

What is a nickname for the Great Wall of China because so many people died building it?

Because so many people died whilst they helped to build the Great Wall of China and they were buried in graves under the wall itself, many people have been taught at school that one of its nicknames is "The Longest Graveyard in the World". This information may or may not be taught at schools in China but nevertheless it is taught to pupils at schools in many countries around the world as part of the basic information they are given to learn about The Great Wall of China. If you disagree with this answer don't just delete it but - by clicking on the Discuss Question button below - please use that discussion area to say what you think is the correct answer to the question "What is a nickname for the Great Wall of China because so many people died building it?"

Justification of the Misused Nickname Despite there were thousands of people died during the construction of the Great Wall of China, it's still unfair to call it "The Longest Graveyard in the World". All brilliant buildings in the world were made by the laboring populace under the oppression of their rulers. In this case, tyranny may be regarded as graveyard of its people, the guilt cannot be laid with these buildings. Besides this, it also should be mentioned that the Great Wall served its purpose and saved several-fold number of living compared to the dead, which is often neglected. I'm surprised to know there are many students have been taught at schools outside China about this nickname. But I don't think there have a common sense about it since I searched it on the Internet and very little results found, which are not on official websites. So I'm here to justify this false belief, to tell people that the Great Wall has very important position in Chinese people's mind. As it is deeply rooted in Chinese history, it became a symbol of cohesion. Please don't let someones misunderstandings affect your judgement. What in past is past, if people keep asking a nickname of this history, I offer my personal suggestion, call it "Sorrow of one Dynasty".
