When my guinea pig died last night, She was breathing really hard and was lying on her left side. She was making a whimpering sound. She was always trying to snuggle up to the other guinea pig. Once I had held one last time, I put her back into her cage next to lucky ( The other guinea pig ). She slowly stopped breathing so hard. Eventually, she was very still, and was no more.

When my Guinea pig was dieing she did not move at all except for a little twitching every once and a wile. She would lay on her left side and when I held her she would not want to snuggle like she always does she just sat there. When I tried to feed her she would not eat or drink her eyes were wide open and she would not blink and she would pee a lot. So I put her in a paper towel were she slowly died.
When your pet is on the last chapter of their life, there are some tell-tale signs that may help you deal with the pain of loosing them. Some obvious changes with their eatting and drinking habbits will start to show, and they may start to get bald patches and be slugish when walking around their cage. Theirs not much you can do for them except let them know they were a great pet, and keep encouraging them to eat.
you know when your guinea pig is dieing when it is not eating or walking slowly and just laying down a lot

How do guinea pigs give birth?

First things First: Breeding guinea pigs shortens their lives, so be aware of this before doing anything. Well you obviously need 2 guinea pigs of different genders, make sure two cages are set up, but in the meantime you can keep them together. When you have seen them mating, or notice signs of the female being pregnant, place the male into a separate cage. You need to separate them before the babies are born or the dad may kill his young. The Mum will become moody and want to eat more, so make sure she has plenty of food and water and will need a LOT of hay/bedding. After 10 weeks she will give birth over night, and the piglets will be born. make sure they are warm and that mum hasn't neglected any of them. Also, check that the pups can all get to mums milk, and if mum has neglected one of them, she will show this by pushing him/her away and refusing to give it milk. Neglected ones rarely survive, but if this has happened, try hand raising it. (I can tell you how to do this if you contact me). After the babies have got all their fur, look healthy and are eating solid foods, they can either be sold to loving homes, or you can keep them, after you have divided them into gender categories, and bought some new cages for them.
