Well, ok so if you have the little menu thing with the flashing square button then leave it on, it helps.
so then take out u'r sickle and go up to a area of grass and make sure that on the "x" part of the menu it says 'cut'. click "x" and then cut that piece of grass! (there aren't little squares to show what u can cut)

How do you get all the people in harvest moon magical melody?
For every character in this game, the gift of a 'Most Favourite' item will
elicit three pink hearts that swirl above the character's head. It is not
necessary to give a 'Most Favourite' item, nor any item at all in order to
raise heart levels. What is most important is speaking to the character and
continuing to speak to him/her until you are bidden farewell. The words may
differ from 'See ya' to 'What?' but do not stop the conversation until the
person has said his/her last word.
You need to have at least 1 heart with every individual in the game. When you
have a zero heart level with a character, he/she may announce an intention to
leave the village and will beg you to be kind should you ever meet again.
At 2 hearts, you will experience an event with every eligible girl and
bachelor. The individual will visit you at 6.00 a.m. to give you a gift. You
will receive a Musical Note afterwards. At 4 hearts, you will receive a
letter from any eligible girl/bachelor of the opposite gender and at five
hearts, you will receive another visit, with a more valuable gift. With
individuals of your own gender, you will not receive the visit and gift at
five hearts but instead, you will receive a letter.
As far as marriage is concerned, a successful proposal requires at least 9
hearts. If you have a zero heart level with an eligible bachelor/girl, you
may experience a 'rival heart event' involving that person and your rival.
You can raise the heart level of every bachelor/girl to 10 and then decide
which one you wish to marry. It is easy enough to lower heart levels in this
game. Almost every one detests weeds, and the gift of a weed will lower the
heart level by a full heart instantly! Every one detests the act of littering
and if you throw an item on the ground and fail to retrieve it, you will lose
a full heart with EVERY ONE in Flower Bud Village.

to raise some one's heart level quickly. If you have a heart level of 0 with
some one and are in danger of losing that person imminently, you definitely
should try to give him/her a 'Most Favourite' daily until the heart level
reaches 1. 'Seasonal' characters like Nami and the Gourmet should be
given 'Most Favourites' whenever possible as you only have one season to raise
heart levels in these cases. Until the Junk Shop is expanded, Louis is a
character who can be difficult to find, and thus it may be advantageous to
give him a 'Most Favourite' item whenever possible. Ronald and Dan can be
difficult to find until the Paradise Orchard opens and you therefore should
seize every opportunity to give them 'Most Favourite' or at least highly
favoured items. Lyla is another character who is not available on a daily
basis until she opens the Hearty Lyla Gift Shop.
People like Terry, on the other hand, can be found daily at the same location
and even if you do not give gifts on every occasion, by speaking to him every
day, you can raise his heart level on a steady basis. It therefore is not
necessary to give him a 'Most Favourite' item, although in his case, mushrooms
are plentiful in every season and are not particularly valuable.

Once you have completed all the marriage requirements equip the Blue Feather in the Tool Slot of your Rucksack and use it to propose.
