What is the treatment of cerebral atrophy and how to protect from it?
i also dont know perfectly but i thing it has a long and a painful jouney fo cure, and the chance of cur is very low
Well, that answer is very general. I'll try improving on it:
You ask about treatment, it all depends what kind of cerebral atrophy you have, cortical? frontal? etc.
It depends on your age too. It can be linked to early schizophrenia, it can be linked to depression, o alcoholism or other drug dependence, to a head injury, and also to neurological diseases such as non demented Parkinson disease and other similar neurological illnesses.
As you get older too, general cerebral atrophy is more frequent and can lead to dementia and memory losses.
Treatment: there are no known treatment except some antixolitic to help sleep and calm down, abstain from drinking alcohol, do mental exercises such as crosswords to make sure there is no further atrophy. If the atrophy is linked to alcoholism, when you stop, you will have stopped the atrophy but it isn't reversible.
How to protect from it: avoid alcohol and drugs, protect against head injuries, do mental exercises, take vitamine b1 supplements, have a healthy lifestyle. These are the best protections.
I hope this is helpful.
Does banging your head against the wall get rid of a headache?
No it doesn't (will probably make it worse) and it can give you brain damage. I wouldn't try it if I were you.
There is one simple answer to this question you need to see your doctor.

Can dental work cause ear and head discomfort that lasts for years?
I thought I was going crazy until I read this thread. For almost 5 years I have been suffering from a fullness in my left ear, ringing, tingling, pressure, pain...it all began shortly after extensive dental work and the eventual removal of a tooth. I have had an MRI, a CT. They checked for sinus infection as the sinus sits right on top of where your molar roots are. My ear feels bad some days, worse others. It's so frustrating and anxiety producing. They've ruled out acoustic neuroma, TMJ, cholesteatoma...yet no relief! When I inflate my eustachian tube, the air doesn't rush out, more like a tire deflating. Does anyone out there know what is wrong? Sinuses, teeth extractions and ear problems are interrelated...and I can't get my life back to normal. I'm as confused as you are...maybe someone knows something out there.
It is possible that the dentist that pulled your tooth left the peridontal ligament in and it is producing a low grade infection. Do some research on jawbone cavitations and see if the symptoms correlate with what you are experiencing. These cavitations do not show up on regular xrays and MRIs and the patients are at a loss at getting a diagnosis and eventually a cure. IF you research cavitations, there are internet sites that will direct you to a knowlegeable dentist that can help you. It could be something else to but I have heard of dental work causing the pain you are describing and there are qualified dentists that can help. Usually mainstream dentists deny this condition but it is very real. Here are some helpful web sites http://curezone.org/dental/dental_neuralgia.asp http://www.dentalwellness.net/forumhttp:// http://www.apothecure.com/DAMS.htm I would look for a holistic dentist Good luck to you

It is caused by certain inner ear problems, when you have an ear problem it sets your body off causing dizziness and loss of balance and sometimes nausea.
Vertigo is a sensation of spinning or disequilibrium. You might be able to feel it yourself by spinning in place for a while, and then stopping. You may still feel yourself to be spinning although you know you are not. That's vertigo. Vertigo is a medical condition that results from the vestibular system experiencing a dysfunction. It can cause dizziness and disorienting perceptions of motion. It is often accompanied by nausea and vomiting.
You need to see a doctor. You could have an inner ear problem. Sometimes the doctor will put a plastic shunt in one or both ears (my 18 year old nephew had this done and it doesn't hurt). It's up to the doctor to diagnose this. Meanwhile you can get medications for motion sickness and more people have it than you realize. HINTS: Never sit in the back seat of a car and sit up front with the window rolled down slightly. When flying try to get a seat behind the wing of the plane (less turbulence.) If you have to take a ferry or are on a cruise then they provide seasick pills for you. There is one that is a Chinese Herb that some cruise lines carry and it works like magic. Can't remember the name of them. It doesn't cause drowsiness and gets rid of that seasick feeling quickly. Don't forget to see your doctor and have your ears check out because your equilibrium is off. Good luck!
Sinus headache why is your teeth numb?
Many teeth go up into the facial cavity, near the sinuses - in fact the canine tooth sits just under the eye. It's therefore understandable that problems with the sinuses and a sinus headache could 'refer' their pain or even numbness to the teeth. It could even be that the problems with sinus headaches are really coming from toothache - so it may be worth a trip to the dentist!
I let mine grow over when I was younger and pierced them again a few after and I don't think it hurt more then before, it was probably about the same. It think it all depends on how long you wait until you repierce it, if they are still a little sore from the previous piercing then it may hurt more then if they were completely heald. Lobe piercing aren't generally that painful anyway so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I will suggest though that if you are going to get them done again go to a piercing studio that uses a needle instead of the gun to pierce your ears they heal up so much easier and its less trauma to the ear. Good Luck!
What aspects do hue brightness and saturation have with hearing?

an ugly face. or you could get it set by a dr. or you could get a nose job. S
Can the nerves behind the ear cause noise in ear?
If you are troubled by a noise in your ear, the problem does not lie with the nerves behind the ear. Chances are you have tinnitus, which is caused by damage to the cochlea, caused by prolonged exposure to extremely loud sounds. Amplification levels in modern rock concerts are ridiculous.
Verb 1. cauterise - burn, sear, or freeze (tissue) using a hot iron or electric current or a caustic agent; "The surgeon cauterized the wart" cauterize, burn

What could cause sudden sensations of tastes and smells that are not there?
Tasting and smelling things that are "not there" can be caused by many things...a few are: fungal infections in the sinus cavities and some medications. Metallic tastes and smells can be from medications. It can make you feel insane to taste and smell things that you know you have not tasted/eaten. If you are noticing this all the time or if it comes and goes, it is probably best to go to an ENT...ear, nose and throat physician. Some epileptics note a different taste or smell right before they have a seizure..a form of aura.
What causes hard painful lumps under ears and on both sides of neck?
My son is 14 and has bad acne on his back. I just took him to the doctor for this. It was white blood cells gathering in the lymphnodes on the back of the neck (left and right side, but can just be one and there may be several smaller bumps next to the large one too if you feel around ). They are there to work on the infected pus of the acne. The white blood cells are the clean up crew of the immune system. Accocrding to the doctor, it is completely harmless, but the large nodes will be sore and you want to monitor them for growth. He prescribed a low dose antibiotic to help with the acne. It wasn't necessary, but I wanted it because it had been prescribed by a dermatologist in the past and it helps with ance.
What substances are secreted by the skin lining the outer ear canal and what is their purpose?
ear wax, or also called cerumen. Ear wax moves out dust and other small particles. It collects dirt and other debris in your ear canal and moves it out of your ears as you clean your external ears. Cerumen also helps prevent foreign substances (including insects) from entering the auditory canal.
It also forms a protective layer of wax in the ear canal which is a water repelling shield. Ear canals need to be dry to be healthy.
The wax is also slightly acidic and will prevent the growth of fungi and bacteria.
It also fights infections.
