How to remove Front door speaker for 2008 Honda civic?
The speaker covers should pop right off (with maybe a little CAREFUL help of a flathead screw driver). Then the speaker itself will be held into the door with three or four screws.. Take the screws out, pull the speaker out a little and unplug the speaker wire. HTH, Chuck

What does it mean on a 2001 Honda Civic lx key shaped light blinking?
It means that you need to get your key. On most of the civics in your year there is a transponder chip inside the key. Also, you probably cannot lock the drivers side door with the power lock button. It is designed as to not allow you to lock your keys in the car. Another friendly reminder from Honda to save you time and effort.
How do you replace the air filter located on a Honda Civic EX?
Maybe Chris adds worthless answers to enhance his frequency ranking within the FAQfarm editors list. By adding his worthless answers, Chris denigrates his own creation. I hate to see a worthwhile forum polluted by worthless answers.

(02 civic air filter, broken screws)
First of all, you may notice that some of the screws are spinning with broken bolt holders. If this is the case then you won't be able to open the top of the air filter case. I've read a few theories about why the screws are freely spinning but the best explanation I heard from a mechanic is that Honda dealer mechanic probably over torqued it with an air tool. Anyway, if this is the case then you will have to carefully break the top or bottom screw holders to undo the screws. I would rather break the bottom because that is where things are broken. You can buy a bottom for $90 or so. Once you get the top off one way or another then replacing the filter is pretty easy. Life the old and drop a new one then tighten the screws. But if you had to replace the bottom case then undo 3 screws that hold the case to the car then carefully remove the whole case - there are 4 connecting points, one where air comes in, one where air feeds into the engine and one plug type thing that looks to be an air flow monitor, and lastly one rubber pipe that is about 3/4 inch thick, not sure what this is but this is held by a clip. You will also need to release the tightening ring (?) from the pipe that feeds air into the engine (about 3" thick). After all these steps the case should life out. Replace the bottom with a new one then reverse the steps to put the case back in to its place. The whole thing took me about 30 mins ... a real mechanic can probably do this in 10 mins.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!!
Good luck.
How about on a 2004 Honda Civic?
I have a 2004 Honda Civic with only 2 bolts/screws. The screws come out cleanly with a 10mm socket. However, the top of the housing will not lift off. I could pry but am afraid I may break something. Are there snaps inside that will release if I pry?
Thank you
Why won't your car start or make any noise when you turn the key?
one reason is that your batterie is deader than a door nail. or you cable connections are loose. if your batterie is dead. something on the car is staying on while the key is on the off position. or if you live in cold weather and the wind is blowing, facing the front of the car twoards the wind can make the temperature outside the car drop and cold, cold weather can drian a batterie.

Why won't a cooling fan turn on 1996 Honda Civic?
There could be 3 or 4 reasons for this...
First, check the simplest thing, the fuse. Next, check for a faulty fan thermostat or damaged wiring to the fan. Lastly, it's possible the fan motor itself is faulty.
i come to find that if your Honda civic has a coolant leak and runs hot...... your thermostat will be stuck in the closed position and wont allow the coolant fan to come on
What happens if you go too fast in first gear?
If the rpms are to high for to long the engin will over heat and you will drop it
Why would a engine run cooler than normal even after several different thermostats have been tried?
The computer to the car needs to be adjusted, the manufacturer has it set. just like the delay for the gas when steeping on the gas instead of the car moving instantly it slowly takes of, because of the computer adjustment. the car has a temp sensor which balances the cooling. The computer is in conjunction with the sensor.

Where is the radiator fan switch on a 98 Civic?
I have a 96 Honda Civic and the fan switch is located on the thermostat housing, which is connected to the back left part of the engine (if you are looking from the front of the car). To help you find it, there will be a hose connected to the therm housing that leads to the bottom of the radiator. The fan switch is gold colored and will have a wire connected to it. Disconnect the wire by pressing in the tab on the connector. To change the fan switch, I would recommend you use a deep socket (22mm, i think). hope that helps RZ

Starting problems with 205 K-reg clicking noise but nothing happens?
wack the starter motor.that's the clicking noise.or put it in 2nd gear and roll back and forth to turn the starter motor over.that should do it Kevin
AnswerTry replacing your exhaust system. A spoiler might also help you out. Answeryour engine is not turning. it could be the starter motor but could also be the distributior, check the connexions and check the distributor with a battery tester. If it is not this then it probably will be the starter motor or could be glow plug problems. Also check the batteryCould be siezed solonoid. To test this, remove starter motor and connect current to high tension connection while earthing the starter motor. The bendix should activate,If it doesnt then solonoid faulty or earth fault within the winding.K-reg getting on a bit so starter motor may need replacing.Second hand s/motor cheap as chips.
How do you reset the Need Maintenance light on a 2002 Honda Civic LX?
disconnect your battery then reconnect it
Check the owner guide, no need to disconnect the battery.
Push and hold the trip reset button on your dash, with the button still pressed, turn the key to ACC (dash lights, radio comes on but car doesn't start) Hold button until light starts to flash, it'll do this for about 5 seconds, and should take about the same amount of time to start flashing. after it stops turn key off and it should be reset.
If by charging system you mean battery light then check your battery. It might be dying (or dead). Chances are your car is low on power. Either check and refill the battery with electrolyte (distilled water) or buy a new one. Also, your alternator could be dying. Check that with a test light or a voltmeter.
Makes Ticking noise when turning the ignition?
Usually insuffucine power to starter caused by bad or undercharged battery. Try jumping it.
You might need a battery or alternator.
A bad starter can also do this.
Many parts store can test for free and all repair shops can test for you but might charge a few dollars.
