Why is emissions light back on your corsa?
I know this sounds surprising, had an issue with the Opel Corsa C equivalent, a 2002 Holden Barina SRi. The emission light came on after a stall and stayed on. It was just after a re-fill of the petrol tank. I turned off the engine, removed the petrol cap and re-sealed it and the light went off and has stayed off.
Hope this helps.
How to change the oil on a 1999 Honda Civic EX?
Changing the oil is pretty easy after a few tries. I've always done it myself. First of all, you need these equipments
-oil filter, check out which one you need at your local Wal-Mart -about 4-5 quarts of engine oil, depends on which one you car needs -a big pan for the dirty oil to drip into -and about an hour of your time -a jack to lift up your car on both sides
Alright, first of all, lift up your car so you can slide under the car. Make sure that the jack is not defective, or that might be your first and last oil change. Get under you car, put like a carpet underneath so you don't get dirty. Next try to find a screw on the bottom of the engine tank. It should be on the side of the tank. Unscrew it, and be prepared to put a pan underneath the tank, because the oil will start dripping out of the tank. After the oils are done dripping out, reach up the side of the engine tank and try to find the oil filter, and unscrew it. After the last drop of oil, put the screw back into the tank, and make sure it's tight. Then, take the new oil filter, put some oil around it first, and screw it in. Next you need to dump about 4-5 quarts into the engine, and you should be ready to go. You need to change your oil at least every 5000 miles. Do this at your own risk, all cars are different, even ones with the same make and model depending on where you are in the world. I will not be responsible for your injury, death, or humiliation, and I can't be sued just because you do not know me. I hope this information is sufficient-it should be or you're very dumb.
Before putting the new oil filter on you you should apply a little oil on the rubber gasket. You will only need to hand tighten the oil filter.

Why does the speedometer in a 1991 Honda Civic work intermittently?
Problem is most Likely the ground wire on the motor by the thermostat
If it's just the glass mirror, you can purchase that from a glass shop that does windshields. It just glues in. If you need the whole assembly, you'll need to get that from the dealer or a body parts supplier and you'll probably have to take the inside panel off to get to the mounting screws.

How do you change both headlights on a 1997 Honda Civic?
On my 2000 civic I found it easiest to remove the bumper. It's not as hard as it may sound, actually there are only 4 bolts (2 10mm, 2 8mm), 2 screws (phillips), and 7 plastic pins holding the bumper on. Two bolts (8mm) are on the lip of the bumper in the wheel well, two (10mm) are on the underside of the bumper, and the screws are also on the underside, very near the front of the car. The plastic pins are on top, holding the grill in place. Remove these by prying the center of each pin with a flathead screwdriver. Once you've removed all the fasteners, pop off the corners of the bumper in the wheel wells, and pull the bumper off. There's a foam piece between the bumper and the body, make sure you put it back on when reassembling the bumper. Once the bumper is off, you can easily remove the headlight assemblies. They are held in place by 4 bolts (10 mm) each: 2 on top, 1 on the outer edge (by the wheel well) and 1 on the inner edge (by the grill). Remove the assemblies, then unplug the 3-prong plugs for the headlamps and remove the corner lamps by twisting them counter-clockwise. Once the assembly is completely removed from the car, pull the rubber seal off. Once that's done, you will see a metal clip. Press on the rounded end of the clip to open it, it's hinged on the side. The bulb will now pop out. Installation is reverse of removal. I know it sounds complicated but it really isn't. I've taken mine off to replace headlight bulbs and install custom headlight assemblies and it only takes about 20 minutes, start to finish.

How do you replace the alternator on a 1990 Honda Civic?
The answer to changing the alternator does not have to include all the time consuming work of detaching the drive train at all! Begin by jacking the car up on the drivers' side and secure it from being able to fall. Remove the drivers' side tire. Next, remove the plastic shroud around the crankcase. This is very easy. Just take a screwdriver and pop out the plastic bolts used to attach it to the frame. Remove hot post on battery and then remove wires from the back of the alternator. Remove the bottom bolt and screw from the mounting bracket by working through the wheelwell. Remove the top two bolts including the adjustment arm. The alternatior is now free to move around.Push it up out of the way. You now need to remove the mounting bracket with a 14mm socket. It has two bolts holding it on. Pull the shroud out of the way and drop the alternator down throught this opening. This is a very time saving method of removing and replacing an alternator on the civic. I replaced mine on a 1989 CRX. Approximately an hour from start to finish by using this medthod.
NOTE: ALWAYS MAKE SURE VEHICLE CANNOT FALL OFF JACK! I secured an 8 inch concrete block vertically under the front bumper to make sure the car couldn't fall on me whiile I was under it.
This isn't that tricky of an install. I've done it 3 times now.
First, take off your drivers side wheel.
Second, find the right size socket for the CV axle nut. I can't remember what size it was, but it was huge. Take your car to Napa and ask them to help you find the right one, that's what I did. Take off that nut with the socket and wrench, set aside.
Third, Take off the bottom nut holding the brake assembly to the arm holding it. I think it is a 17mm socket. There is a codder pin in this nut, so if it does not, its the wrong nut. After you take the nut off, pull the brake assembly up so it swings free.
Fouth, pull our the left CV Axle. This is the only way to fit the Alt. out from under the car.
Fifth, unbolt your alternator and the serpetine belt on it. If your belt is in good condition, don't buy another one. They are hardy things.
After getting your new alt in there, tighten it all up and repeat all these steps backwards to get it all back together. Make sure the serpentine belt is nice and tight on the crankshaft, you don't want much play in there, or you will lose power.
Fairly straight forward. Nothing mind blowing about it. If your having problems with dimming lights when pushing in your clutch, it might not be the alternator. Check all your other wiring (and your battery, the alt. itself, and grounds) before you change out and install the new one. It will save you tons of time, money and hassle.
Maybe a bit late with this but I have to chime in. After hearing a number of folks say you have to remove front axle to get alternator out, I couldn't believe the car could be designed so poorly. Today I swapped one out of a 91 into an 89...the trick is to jack frame remove wheel, remove plasic shroud, take of 14mm nut on alt bolt, drive out pin push alternator up somewhere to rest and the take 2 14mm bolts out to remove bracket. Now the alternator can be wiggled out past the obstructions.
