The gap is different for each type of ignition system being used. The old points-type distributors worked fine with .035". HEI needed more, up to .060" depending on the year.

You can usually find this info on auto parts stores websites if you know the year of your ignition system.

I assume that you have rear drum brake. If so, the knocking sound which happens only when apply the brake is more likely cause by an out-of-round drum. Take your car back to the mechanic that installed them. This problem is not bound to go away.

You will need an OBD I scan tool, they are fairly inexpensive for this car, as you can read the trouble codes by the flash of the "Service Engine Soon" light. Most likey you have a code for the cam sensor, as every TPI 3800 gives this code eventually

Check a sticker under your hood or a "Haynes Manual"

I just changed mine and the sticker on the hood says .052 to .056 and the guy at the parts store said shoot for .054

YOU MUST HAVE THE TRANSPONDER KEYS & ECM RESET BY A PROFESSIONAL LOCKSMITH. THEY HAVE TO USE A LIL BOX TO RESET THEM. IT CAN ALSO JUST BE THAT THE NEW,.......ITS A BLACK PLASTIC BOX AROUND THE KEY ( AT THE MOMENT I CANT RECALL THE NAME OF THE BOX,,,, SORRY.) I JUST REUSED THE OLD ONE. I STILL NEEDED TO GET THE E.C.M RESET. IT WAS ABOUT 100 BUCKS. NOT TOOO BAD CONSIDERING IT COSTS 900 DOLLARS TO HAVE THE DEALER DO IT.

If both cars are stock, the mustang would KILL the civic. I'd say in almost any case the mustang would win, unless the civic were an si that was crazy tuned up. Other than that mustang wins

I agree with this person its newer technology idk how much hp newer mustangs get but i can a sure its 200 plus and civics are 140-165 the only way a civic would win is with aftermarket exhaust and a turbo

You'll need the following special tools:

* Honda civic service manual (if you don't already have one)

* ball joint remover fork

* air compressor and impact wrench (700+ lbs.ft)

* right size socket for your axle nut (32 - 33 mm?)

First you'll need to jack up your car on jackstands, remove the wheel, and drain your transmission fluid onto an oil pan.

If you haven't already lifted side of the axle you want to replace, jack up that side onto jackstands and remove the wheel.

Remove the cotter pin and castle nut underneath the lower ball joint.

Use the ball joint remover fork (might need a hammer) to lift the wheel hub off of the lower ball joint arm.

Remove the bolt holding the damper fork onto the lower ball joint arm.

Remove the axle nut with the impact wrench.

Slip the axle off the wheel hub.

Use a flat screwdriver to pry the other end of the axle out of the transmission.

Remove and replace the axle.

Follow these steps backward to put the car back together again. Make sure you use the correct torque specifications when tightening the bolts. Dont' forget using new cotter pins.

Refill your transmission fluid.
