Why did scientists think that large animals of the ice age became extinct?
Because people kept finding their fossilized bones as well as complete animals frozen in the permafrost of Siberia. There aren't any of those animals living now so they must be extinct.

to answer this correctly the ice age was very harsh for the humans because they had no clothes and they didn't know how to make fire. I have no idea how they survived.
How many people died during the little ice age?
The little Ice Age spanned from 1400 AD - 1800 AD and had an average drop of 2-3 deg C. This caused the crop seasons to become shorter with harsher winters and shorter summers. This was also a contributing factor in the black plague outbreak which accured during this time. 1/3 of the population of Europe was wiped out from the disease which is about 25 million people. So you could argue all that is caused from the little ice age.
Side note: A real ice age is an average drop of about 7-10 deg and would have much worse effects. Immagine 1/3 of Europe being wiped out today from an ice age. That would be 244 million people. Lack of crops means lack of food for an over populated society, which means a total breakdown of society.
How did the warmer climate at the end of the Ice Age affect at the Americans?
The Americans were so used to the colder climate, that they werent prepared for a climate change, which effected their health, bodies, and survival.

What happened after the ice age ended?
It hasn't ended. We're in a warm phase. After the last glacial phase ended some 10-12000 years BP:
Retreat of ice cover to higher latitudes and altitudes. Rise in sea-level - forming among other things the English Channel in what had been a river valley. Temperate climate zones moving Polewards.
What happened at the last ice age?
Presumably they had to kill smaller animals for food. They would already be proficient at hunting prey of all sizes and would just have to hunt more often for the same amount of protein.
What is the difference about glaciation and an interglacial period?
Glaciation refers to a period when ice sheets advance over continents, leading to colder global temperatures and lower sea levels. On the other hand, an interglacial period is a warmer interval between glaciations, characterized by the retreat of ice sheets and generally higher global temperatures.

It seems that age has no mark able effect on the ability to freedive. If anything the older the diver gets the better they dive. Most of the world records are held by divers that are in their late 30 to early forties. The reason likely being that with age people learn to control the way their mind works. They are more able to maintain a relaxed state of mind. This is not always the case but it is in many instances. Over all what effects freedivers ability to perform is training. First being taught by a good instructor, and then learning and training on your own accord with a good training buddy. Long story short, age does not seem to have a profound effect on freediving performance.
