Are there any compatible diesel engines that can fit in a 2000 Isuzu Amigo?

I'm not sure about a 2000 model. but I just put a 2.8 liter turbo diesel in my 1989 amigo with very little fabrication. Alll I had to do was reroute a few hoses and build an exhaust system. The Isuzu turbo diesl 3.1 liter out of the Isuzu bighorn is most likely to fit in a 2000 model. I know people have done it before.

How do you service your 1999 Isuzu Amigo transmission?

The Automatic transmission is just like any other automatic, but without a dipstick. Its a General Motors 4L30E. To check the level and condition of your fluid is dificult due to the fact that you need to have a drive on or 4-point lift. First drive the vehicle till temp gauge is at norm temp. 2. lift vehicle. 3. locate fill and drain plugs on transmission pan. 4. open fill plugg.fill plugg is higher on the pan in relation to the drain plugg. also the drain fill pluggs need a 21mm wrench to loosen so they are kinda easy to find, they are near the rear of the transmissioin. carefull, hot fluid may come out and burn you. 5. if there is fluid that pours out it means that the transmission was over-filled. if there is fluid when you insert you finger in the hole then the level is ok. if fluid is not felt to within 1/4 inch if hole then transmission is low. Fluid color and smell tell a lot about the condition.

What does a P0155 02 heater circuit bank 2 sensor 1 on a 1999 cadillac catera cost to install?

It depends on who does it. GM dealers will charge you $100 - $200 including parts. I can be changed by anyone with mechanical ability for much less. The cost of the part will vary from $90 from GM to as low as $40 from after market suppliers. If you get the one without a a plug, it will require labor to cut the old plug off and reattach it to the new one.

How do you remove the oil pump on 1998 Isuzu amigo?

Is this a common problem? I have a 99 amigo, with a manual transmission, that does not push oil through the filter or pressure sensor.I went to the library and copied the pages I needed to replace the oil pump from a service manual. Here's the short story.Remove the serpetine belt, lower pulley mounted on the crank shaft hub, plastic dust cover, timing belt, belt pulleys assembly, lower hub bolted to the crank shaft, metal dust cover, bolts holding oil pump to block ,and the half moon key from the crank shaft. There are two bolts installed from the underside and two more hex nuts holding the supply tube .You will need to drop the two piece oil pan so you can gain access to the hex nuts. After all that, you simply slide the oil pump off the front of the crank shaft.Good luck.

Hello, just changed my fuel filter a few thousand miles and figured I'd add my two cents. In addition to removing the fuel cap it's a good idea to also remove the the fuel pump fuse from the relay box and run the engine until it stalls out. This is on fuel injected MFI systems. Disconnecting the negative cable form the battery is also a good safety procedure. Even after depressurizing the fuel system be prepared to handle, clean, and protect yourself from volatile fuel. Peace and LOVE

Where is the temperature sensor located on Isuzu Amigo?

Open the HOOD and located just inward from the fan is a hose connection on the front top face of the engine block. Atop the stem the hose is attached to there may be a pair of wires (possibly covered in black bundles) with a clip attached to that sensor (CAUTION: Hot Engine should be allowed ample cooling time before servicing, and CAP on RADIATOR should first be removed, alleviating pressure at hoses, to replace the sensor)
