How to fix error code P0401 on Honda Passport 2001?
EGR System, insufficient flow detected, maybe bad sensor? Your sensor is more than likely fine. It is probably the air intake to the EGR located in the throttle body. Take off the air intake cover and it is right behind the throttle plate. Just clean out the import to the EGR, because it gets clogged up and then the EGR isn't receiving the correct amount of air. Try that before you go spend the money on a pricey sensor.

Why is the Check Engine light coming on and off on my 1998 Isuzu Rodeo?
The check engine light (service engine soon) comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, the problem is in the emissions or something that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions, but other causes can trigger the light to come on, too. To determine the cause, the vehicle will need to be taken to a parts store or a shop that has an OBD2 scanner, or for 1995 and earlier models, an OBD1 scanner, While a scanner will not give you the magic answer, it will give you a code that narrows down the problem area.

Where do you check the automatic transmission fluid on a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo?
The Transmission fill plug on these models is located on the bottom of the pan. There are 2 plugs located there. One is the drain plug and the other is to fill/check. The fluid should be high enough to slowly trickle out of the hole. This has to be checked while the engine is running and in gear. This is VERY DANGEROUS process. It is advisable to have your local shop do this for you. I had to change the fluid in one about 6 months ago and was very disappointed in the design. I would recommend having the dealer do this for the reason that they are familiar with the concept of how it is done. Most shops will not be able to accomplish this with accurate results. Again, This is a very dangerous due to the vehicle having to be running and in gear before and reading can be obtained. If not runnin it will be over full.

How do you replace the fuel filter located on a 1994 Isuzu Rodeo?
The main fuel filter is located under the vehicle. On the drivers side about mid-point. It is mounted on the frame of the car. It is held in place with a strap mounted to the frame. It is a small cylinder with two hoses on either end. A single bolt holds the fuel filter to the frame. loosen this bolt first. Then there is a fuel hose/line on either end of the filter , uncalmp these hoses using a set of pliers, then remove the hoses from either end of the filter. Warning!!!!! There is lot of pressure in these fuel lines the gasoline tends to spill everywhere watch your face and eyes and be prepared to crimp or plug the fuel lines as soon as they are off the filter as fuel will continue to flow frely once the hoses are removed. Remove filter from tensioner strap. Replace with new filter observing the directional arrows stamped or painted onto the new filter, to insure proper directional flow of fuel to motor. Re-attach the fuel lines, and re-clamp tightly. Note: consider replacing fuel hose/line if the line seems worn or degraded as well as using "worm" clamps as opposed to OEM for tighter more snug clamp. To make this repair safer, always DEpressurize fuel lines. First you remove the fuel pump fuse (on my '92 Rodeo, it's in the black box on the passenger fender)- then start the engine and run to use gas out of lines. You may still get a little fuel dribble, but no spraying gas all over. After replacing filter, replace fuel pump fuse and turn key on a few seconds for fuel pump to refill lines. Then crank engine and check for leaks around fuel filter connections.
