How do you bleed the brakes of a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo 4v4 v6?
Keep lots of fluid handy and get a helper. Open the reservoir and fill it up then get under the car and on the back side of each brake cylinder where the line connects there is a small valve that looks like a grease zerk. Have your helper pump the brakes until they have some pressure and hold pressure on the pedal while you loosen the valve ( you will need a 6 or 7mm wrench) fluid and some air will come spraying out and the pedal will go to the floor, have your helper maintain pressure on the pedal until you close the valve and do it again until no more air comes out with the fluid. Add more fluid to the reservoir and move to the next wheel, keep going until you have done all 4 and you are finished. My advise is to go one or two more times after the air is gone to be sure it is all out and remember to keep the reservoir full.
call your local dealer and ask for the schematics for your Isuzu
How do you fix brakes on a 1992 Isuzu Rodeo?
How do you replace the headlight bulbs on a 2001 rodeo?
Unplug the wire buy pulling strait back. Remove the rubber boot the same way. There are springwire retaniers that have a tab on the left (as you face the vehicle) unhook that and it swings to the right and the bulb is free! Just be sure you line up the three metal tabs when reinstalling the bulb.

Is the 3.2 v6 in an Isuzu Rodeo made by General Motors?
Yes, and no... GM and Isuzu are partners to some degree. I personly have a '97 Rodeo, and am looking to install a bigger better engine, and have come across several interresting facts. The Isuzu 3.2 liter uses the GM 60 degree V6 bolt pattern to the transmission, as well as obviously the GM V6's do. Currently searching for an '04 3.8 liter pushrod V6 that will use my ignition system (coil on plug) and the MPFI.
Fuel injector?, wire? manifold leak?
How do you replace the power steering pump on a 1989 thru 2002 Isuzu Rodeo Amigo and Honda Passport?
Not really. It took me about 4 hrs. I am not a mechanic and have only limited number of tools. Remove low pressure and high pressure hoses (this one could be hard to break loose). You might want to have an oil pan handy, to capture the oil. Disconnect electrical sensor. Remove the bolt that holds belt tension adjustment plate. And finally remove the bolt that holds the pump in place. It is bolted from the back and located at the right lower corner of the pump if you are facing the front of the car. Remove the pump assy. I could not remove belt pulley at home, no matter how hard I tried. Ended up taking it to an automotive shop and they removed it in no time, using one of those "pneumatic impact guns". Assemble new pump. Fill the reservoir with PS oil. Make sure both of the front wheels are off the ground, start the engine and slowly spin the steering wheel back and forth for about 5 minutes or until screeching sound stops and the liquid in the reservoir stops foaming. That will bleed any air that is in the system. Don't go all the way to the end of stroke. Good luck.

1997 - 20002 do not have dipsticks and you can not check the levels yourself. You must have the vehicle checked by a service center by raising the vehicle and removing bolts on the tranny as if you were going to drain it.

How do you replace Rodeo oxygen sensors?
They just screw into the exhaust pipe. There are clips that keep the electrical connectors in place, you will have to pry those out, but it should not be a problem. Then all you do is screw the new one back in, and press the clip back into the hole for the elec. connection
Well, i am in the process of changing the sensor as we speak...and i am dirty and hot (yuma, september, over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, shoot me).
I bought my new sensor from Autozone where they were about 50-55 dollars. A sensor connected to a cable with 4 loose wires and a few more parts which would complete the plug (which you build yourself).
My cables from my sensor lead up to a connector which had a perfect fitting plug on it...which was different that the new one though...so replacement in unavoidable.
I just can't get to the rest of the plug to fit the new connectors on. there is some sort of cover (metal, sharp edges) covering the cables. So, i am now off to remove such plate and get to the cable to place new connectors...
Don't do it yourself but pay a mechanic 40 bucks...that's what it's worth.
First guy was right, they just screw in and out. Go back to autozone or checkerauto and you can rent an "oxygen sensor" wrench/ratchet kit. (once you return the kit autozone will refund all your rent money). The kit comes with a dozen different sized and shaped sockets that will fit over your oxygen sensor to help pull them out easy. (my oxygen sensors were covered with dirt that I had to scrape off first, because I go off roading a lot). Make sure you buy the oxygen sensors that already come with the attachment clip for the wires (this will save you lots of time and frustrations) they're only a few dollars more. Before you screw the new oxygen sensor back into place, you should probably put some RTV sealant around the washer. You can get that at autozone too. It comes in a tube for a few dollars. Make sure you get the RTV sealant marked "sensor safe" or "wont harm oxygen sensors" and also that it has a high heat tolerance.
NO the rodeo does not have an interference engine. You can break the timing belt and not ruin the engine.......... THIS IS AN INTERFERENCE ENGINE. IF THE CRANKSHAFT MOVES WHILE THE TIMING BELT IS OFF OR BREAKS, THE VALVES WILL COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE PISTONS.
