Location of the electronic control module on a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo?

If you are speaking of the PCM(Power Control Module) or ECM(Engine Control Module, it is located in the inside middle of the dash. There is also a ECM relay in the underhood fuse box.

Isuzu Rodeo makes grinding sounds when turning right or left and it seems to be coming from the rear of the vehicle what could be the problem?

I have a 93 rodeo and my truck was doing the same thing until the rear wheel finally froze up on me. it seems the drum shoes in the rear will snap and grind the inside of the rotor. not saying that's it, but that's what happened to miRubbingif you know it is comming from the rear.then it is 1 of 3 things. the tires are rubbing against the fenderwell, the rear wheel bearings are going out,or the third member in the rear axel is broken(i mean missing some teeth) fluidI recently bought a '99 Rodeo LSE and my vehicle was doing the very same thing when I made tight turns. I have also heard of this happening on other cars.

The source of your problem is the rear differential. This is what allows one wheel to spin a greater or lesser number of times than its opposite counterpart. In my Rodeo (4wd V6 LSE) i have a limited slip differential. You can tell if you do too by checking the sticker under your hood on the driver's side. If it says G-80 or something like that (I can't quite remember) then you too have an LSD. What's important about a LSD is that one needs to add LSD additive to the Gear Oil when changing the differential fluid (should be done every 30k miles in the Rodeo). If your differential fluid (gear oil) is too old or missing the additive, the LSD can act up and cause a grinding noise during tight turns. Before you do anything else, change your differential fluid. It's easy, cheap, and my problem went away as soon as I did it. Hope this was some help.

An easier way to see if you have a limited slip is to lift both back tires and spin one tire, if the other tire turns the same way then you have a limited slip, if it turns the other way then you'll have an open differential.

Where is the transmission dipstick of an Isuzu Axiom located?

I heard someone comment that it has a "sealed" transmission, therefore, a dealer has to add fluid.

I own a 2002 Isuzu axiom. they don't have a dipstick but they do have a holding tank on the right side you check and add fluid there.

How do you adjust rear brakes on holden rodeo 1999?

Take the rubber gormet out at the back of the brake assembly - i.e. where the bleeding nipple and pipes are. Using a small and wide flat screw driver turn the adjusting crown until brake lock up. then release a few turns. This is only required when new shoes are fitted because the brakes are self adjusting normally.

Where is the turn signal relay on a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo?

1995 Isuzu Rodeo Turn Signal Relay Loc.There is just one relay and it is located directly behind the front driver-side speaker. Now....It is not immediately behind the speaker, but it is in line-of-sight. If you are a good contortionist, you can reach up and blindly search it out. Unfortunately, there is a wire harness that runs right next to the relay and the relay socket hangs kinda loosely. It takes a good grab and pull or wedging to remove the relay. The best thing to do is to go ahead and remove the lower dash facing in front of the speaker (I believe there are two (x2) screws at the bottom and the top hinges up and off), remove the four (x4) screws holding the speaker in place, and then you should see the critter.

Where is the egr valve located on 1998 Honda Passport and how can you correct EGR flow insufficient?

Locate and clean the EGR valveIt is located on the left side back for the engine looking from the front. Once u find it remove the two bolts and pull upward. Remove the gasget and use Carb cleaner to remove all the carbon deposits inside the EGR valve. This worked for me and i saved 110 dollars by not replaceing it. Works just like new.

You might also want to clean out the intake port located in the throttle body. That was my problem. All I needed to do was remove the air intake cover to the throttle body and take a small bristle brush and clean out the exhaust intake. It wasn't getting efficient air intake and that is why my code kept coming up.

I just completed the full top end cleaning on a Honda 3.2 L engine. I found it to be a fairly simple task for a home mechanic. The main thing I found was a carbon blockage where the vacuum tube comes out of the back of the intake and goes to the vac solenoid on the left side fuel rail. Easy to clean. just pull the vac tube off of the fuel rail and spray carb cleaner thru to the intake. after I performed the complete upper end cleaning My engine light went out.

Where is the themostat on a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville 3800 motor?

It's in the intake near the throttle body and EGR.

Follow the upper radiator hose to it's end away from the radiator. Remove hose from thermostat housing. Stick finger in hold to feel thermostat. Remove 2 bolts if replacing thermostat.

How do you fix a 1999 Isuzu rodeo horn that stays on?

Temporarily remove the fuse ... most likely the same for the cigar lighter.

The main contact for the horn is in the steering wheel ... it may be shorted out there or anywhere between that point and the physical horn itself. You will need an ohmeter to check the wiring.

Where can I get a replacement for the main contact?

What O2 sensor needs to be replaced on a 2000 Rodeo with code PO133 and 870 and where is it located?

P1870 is a transmission slipping code I think P0133 is the left front sensor (drivers side) but i will check on that. For the transmission code the first thing to do is service the transmission and check for debris in the pan....more than a "tablespoon" rebuild the transmission.... according to GM bulletin. Try the service and keep your fingers crossed

The P0300 engine code in your 2000 Isuzu rodeo will not go off it says random multiple cylinders misfiring how can you fix this problem Thanks?

i had same problem too. i cleaned egr valve and egr exhaust pipe. it worked fine after that. intake manifold gasket ( I think its called the Intake main gasket on this car) ususlly culprit apparently on this paticular vahicle.

If the gasket doesn't clear the code try this: I recently cleared my p0300 code. It was the spark plugs, incorrectly gapped by the shop! I actually replaced them again and set the gaps myself with 'iridium' spec plugs. Densos are the preferred choice but I used the Autolite Extreme Performance Iridium plugs. I had been carrying the fault for over a year yet the engine seemed to be running great. The PCM seems to be very sensitive to misfires. It made a difference that I wasn't aware of and the engine runs more smoothly too. Basically the best spark possible at the plug to reduce the possibility of a misfire when it matters most. Hope it helps

How do you replace the dash board light on a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo?

you have to take off the dash board panels. these screws will be over the radio, behind the ashtray, under dashboard over the gauges, and the last set will be on each side of the steering wheel. u can then see the 4 screws for the gauges and just remove screws, reach back and twist bulb out. i would suggest changing all four at the same time because if one goes out they all will. i learned the hard way

Is that the only thing not working? check your tail lights. you will still have brake lights but if you blew a fuse your running lights , tail lights and dash are all on the same fuse. mine kept blowing it was a bad ground by the alternator.

Why isn't the gear indicator light not coming on when you start your rodeo?

shift module on side of trans. Mine does same thing and shifts super hard when light not on. Cut off vehicle and crank again until light comes on. Taken mine to shop at least twice and the problem is really sporadic so they couldn't get it to do it and refused to fix it if they couldn't witness the problem which is trustworthy in a shop

How to align the cam marks to install the timing belt on 1994 6-cylinder sohc?

The answer below refers to DOHC, the timing marks are different on SOHC. Seen from the front of the car looking backwards, the right cam (left side of car)has a notch on the cam which you position at approx "1 o'clock) lining it up with a line on an adjacent plate in that area. The left cam (right side of car) has a notch which you should similarly align with a plate at approx 2 o'clock. You do this with the crankshaft sprocket aligned with a mark on the oil pump at 3 o'clock. The timing belt goes on with the cam- and crankshafts at those positions. The belt itself goes first around the crankshaft, then the idler bearing, then the right cam, then the water pump, then the left cam, then the timing belt tensioner. Hold the belt on these pulleys with paper clips (big fat ones that hold a stack of paper). Tension the tensioner. In this process the cams may have turned a bit off their marks, so go back and do it again until they align with their marks right. Then remove the clips and turn the engine and see that all is well. Note: I assume in the above that you will have the approx alignment correct before removing the old timing belt. The tensioner has a certain clearance (approx 0.2 inches) which must be set up right. That's the clearance between the lower pushrod part and the lever arm.

How do you get the green 4wd light stop flashing on your 98 Isuzu rodeo?

first check the 4wd transfer unit, it is located on the front axle on the drivers side. There should be two vacuum hoses one for 4wd the other for 2wd. There should be a vacuum on one but not the other, press the 4wd switch to see that they both work. If they are both working then you have to work on the transfer unit, here a hand operated vacuum pump ( some refer to it as a brake bleeder ) it might create enough of a vacuum to free the stuck transfer unit. I had to remove the unit and free the unit by hand ( hint I did have to use a screw driver to help pry mine loose ) once free operate it by hand several times to make sure it is loose, then replace it. After this I also found an air leak in the vacuum lines, I bypassed the vacuum line from the solidnoid to the transfer unit to find this problem.
