check the connections of the battery cables to see if they are making adequate contact, since jeeps do not drive smoothly, especially if you have driven off road or bumpy roads. Se if there is debris on the cable connections. Clean off with coke or Pepsi. Just pour either on the cable connections. the problem with mine was timing belt and tensioner over time it will be hard to start and lose power while driving,once I changed the bad belt and tensioner engine sounded brand new.

You might want to ask the mechanics at the garage to double check this; but generally a loom refers to the place where the wiring harness goes through the firewall. If your wiring harness is messed up it will cause all kinds of strange electrical things to happen. Replacing electrical components will not help as they will still not function correctly. The cause is shorts at different places in the wiring. This is usually caused by cracked insulation on old wires. Intermittent starting problems are often the result. I have been fighting with mine on the 89 troopper for over a month....have removed the carb cover...cleaned the linkage that goes from the hard wire (from the foot pedal)...and cleaned the foot pedal area with wd40 - up into the actual cable shield itself....NOTHING is working . I wil probably have to replace the cable itself....as where I am in Kenya Africa - TONS OF DUST on game driives and in the city of Nairobi.....
Changing the cable may be your only option......

The Isuzu has a sealed transmission. It has a transmission fill plug on the side of the transmission above the pan, I believe on the right side of the trans case about midway the case body. Take the pan off remove and change filter. Add fluid by using an inexpensive pump until the fluid starts to run out the fill plug hole. Replace the plug. Job done.

To reset the engine light you need an OBDII Reader. $39 From Harbor Freight. On my 01 Rodeo, it is under the dash next to the driver side door. Select 'Erase' on the Reader menu and you are done. Alternatively, you can disconnect the battery. This should wipe the OBD memory. Unfortunately, it will also reset the clock, the radio presets, and anything else in RAM in the car. Still, cheaper than going out and buying an OBD reader. ******************************* A cheaper alternative would be to go to an auto parts store, Checker Auto or Autozone in my area, and they have a check engine reader that they will let you use for free. They may require a deposit such as your drivers license or a credit card as security while you check the error code or erase that code.

The fuel pump is located inside of the gas tank. Best way is to run most of the fuel out, then you have to lower the tank to get to the access plate on the top of the tank.
raise the suv and block the tires, be sure engine off and keys out, remove the tank straps holding the tank in place, put a jack under the tank before you completely loosen it so it does not drop.
Remember to disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors, and lower the tank, you can now remove the fuel pump from the top of the tank and replace it.
install is reverse of removal.
