On several sites that I have found, they are going for between $80 - $120 each, depending on condition. Having been manufactured for distribution by the SEARS, ROEBUCK & CO. these rifles were very common and widely distributed. While they are quality firearms, many are still in circulation today. I believe that this is because of two main reasons. One, because people took better care of their belongings in those days and passed them down to younger generations, and Two, because manufacturing standards were held to a higher expectation in those years.
While they are good firearms, they aren't all that uncommon to come across if you know where to look. They may not be main stream or popular these days, but their quality is hard to match with similarly priced rifles of today. So, weather you're looking for a rabbit or squirrel gun, or you just want to purchase a good starter rifle for your young shooter that they can use and pass on, I would recommend this rifle any time. Accuracy is highly consistent in well-taken-care-of specimens, dependability and craftsmanship are consistent with standards for the era, and they're simply fun to shoot.
