The ignition amplifier is bad or the connection is corroded.

The part is easy to get to, and is easily replaceable, but I would not suggest trying to test it yourself unless you know how to use a voltmeter.
If you want to replace it I would first buy a Haynes manual and follow the instructions (they have pictures)!

Unfortunately, you are in a bad situation. I am assuming that your Fiero is equipped with the decklid release button, where you can push it and the decklid opens and you don't have a key.

First, call a locksmith over and have them make a copy of the key for your doors. Expensive, but the safest. The decklid lock and your door locks SHOULD use the same key, unless someone has changed them out over the years.

The second option is that you will actually have to break into the "trunk" (decklid). This can be done by removing (destroying) the outer portion of the lock and removing it. Inserting a long flat head screw driver into the hole, working it in, and turning it will pop the trunk. Unfortunately, you will have to do this everytime to open it or replace the lock.

The only other option you have is that you can sometimes 'jump' the solenoid for the trunk release from under the car. I unfortunately do not remember it's exact location, but wiring diagrams are available online. If jumped from a fresh battery, you can pop it and it will open.

if you have the big ugly square lights, you have to go in from behind it (open the hood) and twist out the retainer counterclockwise,and pull bulb straight out. remember not to touch the new bulb with your greasy fingers or the oil from them can shatter the halogen bulb.

if you have the dual sealed beams you have to take off the trim rings from the front and unplug the sealed beam straight out of the plug. if you need to adjust the beams after replacing the bulbs, there are two knobs inside (open the hood) to adjust horizontally and vertically.

check and see if the thermostat been removed
check to see if the heater core has been bypassed. if the heater core was leaking at some time in the past, the previous owner may have bypassed it (with a 2 dollar hose bypass kit) instead of actually fixing the leak. this was the case on my 1990 xj6.

Well I have taken mine off a (97 VDP). there are 2 parts as I recall. You have to start at the top...remove the trim around the door latch be very careful taking

the wood panel, it slides. Once top one's off, start removing the bolts off the second one and then....very slowly ply and lift off...and for Gods sake take your time! There are several things to check most of the time you will need to replace the catalitic converter, this is common enough that the dealer still stocks the parts, also the upstream and down stream sensors must be calibrated after you replace the cat. BE VERY CAREFUL not to confuse the o2 sensors when thay are removed,

Any place that sells batteries can supply you with a replacement.

You don't have to, I don't know what model you have but all use self tensioning belt drive systems. This is a spring loaded pulley which holds the correct tension. if you have noise or slipping you either have miss routed the belt, part failure, old belt.

Hello, Jamison here, Some cars have radios that are aimed at preventing theft, A default code is needed when the radio loses its CONSTANT power supply from the battery, This can be from the battery going DEAD for any reason it may have,or from the battery or radio being removed from the car. The radio will not come on until the code is entered. this is to keep someone from stealing your radio and installing it in another car. If it is the original radio for your car contact jaguar they have the code. If you bought the radio used, contact the person you bought it from. Good luck, Jamison

you can't. simple as that. but if i'm taking you up right and you are genuinely having problems with the immobiliser then i'd reccommend you use a second and last higher digit to sort the problem out for good. just say your code is 3545 don't enter it, but instead enter 3646 and you should here a click from the drivers side engine. thats it. it worked for me and i never had a problem since. by the way if you don't know the original keycode then you won't be able to up the second and last digit accordingly so will not work. hope this helps.

It is driven by a gear off the backside of the distributor housing, with fluid remotely fed by a tank located on the right fender. Low pressure fluid (ATF recommended) runs from the reservoir to the pump, high pressure from the pump to the rack, then the spent fluid now low pressure again to the cooler located on the left side of the radiator, and then up from the bottom of the cooler to the reservoir. Inside of the pump is pretty much unserviceable, and is built similarly to a A/C compressor, with a series of plates and holes that move fluid at alternating rates from front to back to build pressure.

The headlight bulb on a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 is replaced by disconnecting the wiring harness and twisting the bulb assembly. The bulb can then be pulled from the lenses and a new bulb put in place.
