Yes, you are limited. If one 12V down-light requires 50W of power then 20 down-lights will require 1kW. Something's got to give as more down-lights are added. The voltage might drop so as each light is added they all become dimmer or the power supply might over-heat due to it working so hard. It's hard to knowing exactly how many down-lights you can put in parallel unless you have a power supply manufactured for down-lights and it has the manufacturer's recommendation.

There is an extra shift lever that controls the transfer case. Put it in 2H (if you want to drive with regular rear-wheel drive) or neutral (if you don't want to engage any wheels at all). On most CJ7's, you should also unlock the hubs. Outside the vehicle, in the center of each front wheel, there will be a tab to rotate. That disengages the wheels from the front drive axles, so you won't be rotating all those parts in the front drive system as you drive in 2WD. Of course, CJ7's being very old now, many or most have been heavily customized, so you really need to know the specific vehicle.

I finally figured this out on my 1981 CJ7 with the 258 inline 6 engine. If your power steering bracket is like mine, the slot for adjusting the power steering pump belt tension is molded into the aluminum power steering bracket. Three bolts need to be loosened. Two bolts are directly opposite from each other and act as the pivot point. The third bolt is closer to the engine and goes all the way through the bracket. This third bolt is the adjusting bolt. The aluminum bracket contains a slot all the way through which the third bolt goes, allowing the entire bracket to be rotated using a 1/2 in. socket wrench in the square hole near the pump fill cap. You can't actually see the slot since it's covered up on the ends by other brackets. By loosening these three bolts, the tension can be released on the belt, allowing it to be removed.

YES! With a little trimming to the front edge, about 3/4", it will fit. if you dont trim enough the front top of the door may not line up perfectly but with a little patience and slowly trimming you can get it perfect. Took me a half hour to make it fit perfectly. Tools; die grinder and cut off wheel. Everything else in the rear fits just fine, you can either drill a couple holes and bolt the top to the tub or use c-clamps. CJ7 and YJ tops fit a TJ with trimming. TJ tops will not fit CJ7 or YJ.

The most common from the factory was the T3 transmission.

A T150 is a top loader, so cannot be a linkage problem, but could be a clutch linkage problem. You didn't say if it ground gears, or was just tough to pull into gear. Anyway, check clutch adjustment.

The thermostat begins to open at 195* and is fully opened by about 200*.
