IE: ensuing spill kits are dealt with and replenished as well as removing old rags to prevent fire hazards and getting clean ones as needed also restocking your grease cartridge supplement. the Oiler will remove the operators garbage bag and add to his refuse and dispose of it as needed.
the operator may need the oiler (depending on the crew designation) to hold a tape measure on a stick to assist in gauging depth while excavating. when the time comes to move the excavator a long distance the operator may opt to allow the oiler to "march" (drive) the machine to the next work site area.
