Square Enix use numerous types of software to implicate their CGI and Game Design. Originaly, for the original Final Fantasy Games, they were written in the specific console propriety assebly code format.

Today however, is completely different as a few years ago they developed their own personal game engine called Crystal Tools (which is unavailable to the general public or other companies [Unless bought for several million pounds or more]).

When it comes to the CGI, they have used (not sure if they still do) Maya Software, which is one of the leading industry based animation software. There is also 3D Max Studio: each of which is incredibly expensive, yet well worth the purchase. For their actual concept designs and wallpapers, etc, I believe they use Photshop, Adobe After Effects and Illustrator; as these are the leading brands at the moment.

They also use a lot of DirectX within their CGI.

The Keyhole in Hollow Bastion is in the Grand Hall where you fight Riku/Ansem, or where you fight Riku the second time.

I'm not 100% sure, but there would probably be some armored knights and surveillance robots in The Great Maw in Hollow Bastion/ Radiant Garden. There is a row of armored knights that appears in the Wildebeest Valley in the Pride Lands.

The King of Hearts is "The Suicide King." Most, if not all, standard decks portray the King of Hearts piercing his sword through his head. No other king is featured like this.

Xion is the nobody of what fragmented memory Ventus (Roxas in this part of the series) has of Aqua. YES I know she is also an experiment Vexen created but if you actually play Chain of Memories and 358 you find out she has Sora's memories and also takes Roxas' being away slowly. Well play BBS pay attention to all details and watch that in the special ending video Xemnas sits in the room of awakening and talks to aquas armor, the fact Ventus isn't there asleep means during KH 1 when Sora's used Riku's Keyblade to unlock his heart and awaken kairi he also sent Ventus' heart back to the body left behind in the room of awakening. Now if you beat BBS you notice when Xehanort tries to separate Terra from his own body that afterwards he loses all memory of being Terra. Same went to Ventus. He lost all memory of his past and only fragments Sora had got through to Xion, hence why she has short black hair and a face resembling Aqua's.
