In this time, armour evolved from simple maille, to transitional plate, and finally, the full plate harness. If you can give a more specific century, I'll be able to give specific styles of armour.

Well, you see, back in medieval times, knights took vows of chivalry and loyalty to their lords. This often meant they had to focus on their duties of protecting the realm rather than starting a family. It was a noble sacrifice they made to serve their kingdom with honor and dedication.

I believe knights were only trained to defend their lord.
