Yes you can substitute on the fly. Usually midfielders who play on both sides of the ball (offense and defense) are the ones that change frequently on the fly. But sometimes when the ball is on the defensive end for example, a coach may want to substitute an attackman.

Yes women can check, but not as much as the men. Their checks have to be short (meaning you can't hold your stick there). Their checks also must to be under control (meaning you can't swing your stick). Depending on your age level, the checks can be below the knee, below the waist, below the shoulder, or anywhere. Checks can never be near the head because of safety reasons. Ask your ref what the checking is before your game. Good Luck!

Yes, It may take a little bit of pressure, but it eventually will slide on. If you have trouble, run the throat (bottom part of head that connects to shaft) under some hot water, and then try sliding it on (this will soften up the plastic)

The current specifications stated by the NCAA is that the ball must be between 7 3/4 inches and 8 inches. The weight is between 5 ounces and 5 1/2 ounces.

The bigger stick is primarily used for defensive players and is 72in long(With head)

The smaller one is used for every other position and is 42in long.(With head)

Goalies don't have to wear arm pads because they don't need to (unless the league u play in requires them, but that is rare) and the pads limit they're range of motion. But really the goalie himself makes the decision as to wear them or not and some like and some dislike.

Yes, you can use any head besides the STX duel head. If the head you use is too big for the shaft, put tape on the shaft until the head fits snug. If it is too big for the head, head the throat of the head with a blow dryer and slide the head on.

There are 3 attackmen on for each team on either side of the field.

There are also 3 defensemen and one goalie for each team.

There are 3 midfielders for each team too which play both offense and defense.

You can check on the internet to see which colloges are playing and sometimes its on ESPN.The NLL.com website streams all of their games live. In the US, Versus broadcasts the games. In Canada TSN is broadcasting some of the games.

you tape it. There are many different styles of taping, find one that works for you can tape where you need grip the most. you can go on youtube and look at what some pros do to tape their sticks.

You don't. You have to take the mesh off first. Maybe you can spray the mesh with a waterproof spray but I doubt it will work. To dye a lax head the water has to be hot. Hot water will take off any spray or wax that you put on the mesh.

i would say 10 diamond mesh... just the regular. But when it comes to hard, soft, or semi-hard mesh it all depends on what you like and your skill level. Soft mesh is usually used for better cradling because it moves with the ball, and hard mesh is usually used for quick and fast release. hope this helped :)

The end of the shaft is bent back 10degrees so you have to buy a crankshaft head which would be leaning forward on a regular straight shaft. You can feel the ball better when its in your head and have a quicker release. I have a K18 crankshaft and it is the favorite stick ive ever owned or used.
