How hard is it to change the Power steering pump on a Lincoln LS V8 EngineIt looks very difficult?
You better be knowing what you are doing if you attempt this job Not only is the power steering pump hard to reach its blocked in by many parts that have to be removed so if you have the right tools and the know how than your in luck Lincoln made it very tuff to change parts other then by the Dealership Good luck and you will spend about 4 to 5 hours doing the job
How do you reset the odometer for a Lincoln LS?
If the Lincoln has a regular odometer and not run off the computer you can disconnect the cable and turn it in reversrse with a drill. By doing this with the intention of selling is against the law. It may be against the law period. I dont recommend this action period. Im not exactly sure about if this info is exactly correct. You do say reset so you dont really specify what you are doing,setting it up or back.
2000 Lincoln LS spark plug wire diagram?
This car has "coil on plug" units and the wiring harness would not allow you to mix up which connection goes where . There is no traditional spark plug diagram. the wiring from the coil on plug units go directly to the engine control computer and the grounding switch in the microprocessors control when the plugs would be fired.
Coil On Plug units are an improvement to the traditional spark plug coil and prevent heat fatigue of the coils [there are other technical issues like back EMF and spark leakage and degradation that makes this system superior to others]

How do you remove a wiper arm on a 1992 Lincoln?
I don't know if you're Lincoln wiper arms are the same as those on my 1994 Ford F-150 but I too have been searching the Web looking for help on how to remove them. I have the owner�s manual and it was no help at all. I finally gave up looking for help and played around with my wiper arms long enough to learn that at the base of the arm, where it attaches to the shaft coming through the cowl, there is a clip. If you pull the arm away from the windshield and pull the clip out and then while slowly lowering the wiper arm and holding the clip out, it will lock onto the arm holding the arm and blade away from the windshield. At the same time, the clip is held away from the wiper shaft making it possible to easily remove the wiper arm. Good luck, Rich

Where is the computer module on the 2005 Lincoln LS?
The PCM (powertrain control module) is located behind the glove box. If removing you need to disconnect the negative cable for the battery first. You have to remove the glove box to get to the retaining strap bolts on the inside and you have to remove the cabin air filter and box to get to the three main cable connectors in the engine bay. To remove the cabin air filter box you have to remove the windshield wipers and cowling plastic and the firwall cross brace. When I bought a 'kit' to do the same with my 95 town car, it came with a blurry pdf showing a wire to cut that came off the computer which is mounted ahead of (behind) the glove box. I could get to it without much trouble, IIRC I unscrewed the glove box lining and it pulled right out, revealing the computer with its wiring.
Sadly I do NOT have the pdf showing which wire to cut. But what I can tell you (at least for my town car and I suspect for other years and models as wel) is there is not a 'fuse' that you could pull to resolve the situation, without also adversely affecting something else. In my case the variable steering effort control would have been disabled had I pulled the fuse...which would leave the town car with full assist steering, which was very disconcerting to me.
Good luck in resolving your problem...so I can tell you it's "cut a wire", sorry I cant get you right to the correct wire to cut...

Where is the battery vent hose located on a 2002 Lincoln ls?
As you know the battery is in the trunk. It's a black hose about a foot long coming from the bumper back side of the trunk close to the battery. It attaches to the battery to let the battery gas escape to the outside of the car and not into the cars cabin. There is a small tube hole at the top of the battery that inserts into the tube. I hope that helps. I tried to be as descriptive as possible. I just found it on my car. I had never heard of it until just now. It was hard to see where it attached but easy to do.
