Phillips head screws visible from the front of the car. Do yourself a favor, buy a set of clear lens 7" round lights on ebay. either the "projector" or "diamond" style will work. I replaced mine with these and its a HUGE improvement and they only cost about $27 and they come with new bulbs!
Where is the brake light fuse for a Mazda Miata?
Depends on year. On the 2004, it is the "STOP" 10 amp fuse in the block in the engine compartment, with the relays. This may or may not be the case for all 2nd gen (99-05) miatas. I know that there are some earlier cars that have it in the driver's side kick panel, also labeled STOP.
Where is the oil filter on a 92 Mazda miata?
Look right below the intake manifold. It should be hiding right below it. It is hard to get to, but it can be done. Get a special tool that fits on the Miatas oil filter and uses a ratchet to turn it. Its basicly like a big socket....just made to fit an oil filter. This makes the job much much easyier. Greddy makes a oil filter relocation kit for the Miata, I hear they make it much easyier...but I still do mine the old way.

Why wont your 1994 Mazda Miata start in park but will in neutral?
There is a switch that determines the clutch is pushed in before starting the car. This is a safety feature so that you do not accidentally start the car in gear, which will cause it to lurch forward and possibly injure the passengers or those around the car.
This can be overridden by finding the clutch switch and permanently locking it down, or by cutting the switch out and soldering the wires permanently so they are in circuit.
How do you replace the headlight assembly on a 2000 Mazda miata?
It is highly recommended that you remove the front bumper to remove the headlight assembly. It is not mandatory, but will greatly reduce the risk of marring the bumper as you remove the headlamp.
Headlamp Removal- Remove all electrical harnesses from the bulbs.
- Remove the bolt at the top of the black plastic tab holding the headlamp to the chassis.
- The remainder of the headlamps is held in by a metal guide pin underneath. Just pull the headlamp directly out towards the front. It will snap out easily.
- 2 Phillips head screws on each side to remove the side marker lights.
- 3 bolts along the top of the bumper.
- 3 plastic trapezoid pieces in the mouth of the car on the bottom. Remove with flathead screwdriver, they just pop out.
- License plate bracket - 2 nuts inside the mouth on the "roof"
- 2 Phillips head screws holding plastic, rectangular pieces also inside the mouth on the "roof"
- Phillips head screws along the inner fender liner.
- 3 bolts underneath the bumper
- As you remove the bumper there are 2 plastic ball joint connectors at the corners of the bumper, just pull and pop them out.

The IAT sensor on your car is on the right side of the air intake hose just in front of the throttle body.BTW you can get a performance chip on e-bay for like $15.00 US that will give up to about a 60 horsepower increase.I'm using one on my 3.4 rs and trust me it works.They save you $ on fuel aswell (the chip tells the computer that it needs to lean out the fuel mixture resulting in a better burn,thus more power and better fuel burn and $avings at the pump)Good luck.

Open tailgate star torx scews inside remove and it pops out.
There are 2 tab locks, 1 at the top and bottom of the assembly. On the bottom is a small hole for prying it open. GENTLY hold the tab back while prying the assembly open.
Scrape the sealant goop out of the grooves and fill the grooves with black or clear silicone. Position the back up light reflector and the foam gasket.
After that it snaps back together easy as pie.

could be bad gas ,i would suspect battery first, especially aftyer sitting with no charge for a year.Put in new battery so you get good hot spark. then try fuel filer and clean injectors.If possible put in fresh gas, i know easier said than done.

The connector goes through that rubber grommet and the harness is in the cabin behind the seat about where your right butt cheek would be except underneath the carpet.
You have to take the rubber hole plug out of the car, and feed the wires thru it before splicing the new sensor to the old plug end.

You say MX5, not Miata, so do you really mean 2006 or newer MX5? If you really mean 1990-2005 Miata then the water pump is behind the timing belt cover. It is not driven by the t-belt, but the t-belt must be removed to change the pump.

That happened to my 92 Miata, both sides. Turns out not to be a big problem. First you have to remove the window winder, a clip ring remover, or clever use of a thin screwdriver can pop it off. Remove the door grip screws, door latch screws. (philips) remove the speaker cover, (4 or 5 pop out connectors) and lift off the inside door cover (several pop out connectors). lift the door cover up when removing. Use a razor blade to slice the vapor/water barrier thick mil plastic from the door. A cable (like a bicycle cable), that operates the window in window guides has a tendency to get caught under the white plastic window 'rollers'. I used two small zapstraps to pull the cable toward the door, just enough to stay out of the way of the round white plastic window guide when the window descends. You don't want to kink the cable. I would suggest you lubricate the cable end as well. Watch out for the sharp edges of metal on the inside of the door, some are razor sharp, and it can be hard to reach in to find a place to locate the cable ties. The second time I did this job, I drilled my own holes to accomodate the cable ties (also called zap straps) to get the best place to secure the cable, again, without changing the cable path more than necessary. How do you replace the fuel pump on a 1994 Mazda Miata?
- Perform work in a well-ventilated, spark/flame free environment.
- Disconnect the battery's negative cable.
- Raise soft top for room
- Pull back rear carpet on parcel shelf, by removing the 4-5 round, plastic clips holding the carpet down behind the seats.
- You will now see the metal parcel shelf and fuel tank shield. Remove all of the 10mm bolts around the fuel tank shield.
- Disconnect the electrical harness.
- You will now see an ovalish, bronze fuel tank cover.
- Disconnect the fuel and fuel-return lines. Have rags ready and perhaps some plastic wrap and rubber bands to cover the ends of the lines to prevent fuel drip and vapors.
- There will be 1 or 2 small bolts, and a series of Phillips head screws around the circumference of the cover. Remove all of these, you are now able to pull the entire fuel pump assembly.
- You will now have access to the fuel pump and you can unclip it.
- Your new fuel pump should also come with a new filter to attach to it.
- When holding the assembly, be very careful not to bend the metal rod holding the tank float as it measures your fuel level. If you bend it, you will impact the gauge reading of your fuel level.
