No he did not. When he decided to pursue a career in politics, he allowed his law license to lapse, since he was no longer going to be practicing law. But since he was a lawyer in good standing, he can renew it any time he chooses to.

If you mean does he admire someone or some thing, then yes, he talks about how he admires his family and his role models and many international and political figures. He admires former Presidents and looks to their work as guidance. He admires his mentors and professors, etc.

But, if you mean is he admirable, then the answer in my opinion is yes, very admirable for what he has done as president, for his Nobel Peace Prize award, his Grammy, and for the kind of leader he is, plus so much more.

Michelle Obama has had some designers create special gowns for the formal dinners she has to attend (and yes, these gowns would be expensive if she had to buy them, but designers love to have famous people model their clothes); however, in addition to getting clothes from fashion designers, she also buys some of her dresses from places like the Gap and Target, at a cost of perhaps $60-$80 each. She is known for being very down-to-earth and does not like to dress formally if she doesn't have to. And she will wear an outfit she likes on other occasions, rather than asking designers to keep coming up with new outfits; she changes it around with accessories, like wearing different jewelry or a different sweater. Some reports say that her high-fashion dresses would retail at about $350-$500 if you bought them in a store.

In everything I have read about him it seems he was a stubborn man and rather obsessive about many things. It is obvious he loved his wife and children, but when she wrote him about what to do if the British came through their area while he was away fighting for independence he wrote back that she and the children should go hide in the woods. I think that is a bit weak. He firmly believed in the Federalist position and when he signed the Alien and Sedition Acts he was trying to keep opponents quiet and to "get rid" of people ( mainly French immigrants) he saw as a problem. It was his wife that gave him balance and would convince him that he needed to step back a bit from a position he had taken and wouldn't move from. I would count his stubborn nature his main weakness.

The fact that he followed George Washington hurt him. Unlike Washington, he was short and fat and did not look like a President. However, he demanded to be treated like royalty and this annoyed people around him.

No, it is not true. Actually, this is a political claim, and both sides make it-- especially in election years. The claim that Michelle Obama is overspending was similar to one made against other first ladies, including Nancy Reagan, Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton. In all cases, there is not much evidence to support it, but it gets partisans on both sides very motivated, even if the claims are generally exaggerated.
