Too many variables to really answer. The context of the number is critical. Is it an Area Code? Is it a negative number on a bank statement? Is it referencing a footnote in a book? Is it following a number such as one (1)? The meaning is entirely dependant on the context.
______________________________________________________________________ Another answer would be that if a number in parentheses is right next to another number, then you are to multiply both numbers if it's a math problem. In some graph tables, f(x) replaces y. Variables, letters that replace numbers, can also be in parentheses.
Top right header: last name space page number --> Smith 1 Left hand: your name, professors name, subject, and due date. (dont write the words "Due Date")

The most obvious way is to become ordained in a recognized church, but not alot of people are cut out for that kind of commitment. Here in Canada, you can become liscenced by the province to perform weddings, but I'm not sure what the process is.
You can become ordained by an online church and get licensed that way. On the civil side, you can apply to become a justice of the peace.
The constitutional convention had 55 delegates who came and went in the four months it took to write the Constitution. James Madison took the notes of the convention while George Washington was the president of the convention. Thomas Jefferson was in France with John Adams so they didn't take part in the writing the constitution. Ben Franklin was in attendance at the convention and because of his advanced age he was carried in on a chair by jail inmates. The average age of the delegates was 44 and most were lawyers. At the end of the seventeen weeks only 42 of the 55 members remained to sign the constitution. Included in this number is 3 who refused to sign and returned home. No members were completely happy about the final result, but they adopted what was acceptable to the body and the entire country.

Amongst several of the styles of MLA formatting heading is an exceptional one. While writing in MLA style people should make sure that they included a headeing that contains their last name and the page number. This should be located at the upper right-hand corner of each page, half an inch from the top.
If you are writing a paper and need to list your sources or give additional information, you can do this using footnotes. An example of footnotes would be if I wrote "skaters are people who skateboard*" in a paper. At the bottom of the page I would then give my source, "*according to urbandictionary.com". The important thing about footnotes is that you put a number or * at the end of a sentence in the paper; then you farther explain the sentense or give your source at the bottom of the page by STARTING this sentense with the same number or * that you ENDED the other sentense with. Example: REPORT Skaters are people who skateboard (1). Another subculture is goth (2). FOOTNOTES (1) This information came from urbandictionary.com. (2) A goth is defined as a person who likes darkness.

Ideally, one should write in their journal daily, however it shouldn't becomea chore. One should write in their journal asmuch or as little as they want.Remember that a journal isn't merely a place to record daily events. It's a place where you can discuss, without censure, how you feel, what you think, what you're dreaming of. I've been keeping a journal faithfully for seven years, and it's amazing to see how I've grown and the things that were heavily on my mind in a given year. I don't always write everyday, but the habit is such a part of me that I miss it on the days that I don't write.
An electronic resume is one that is read on a computer screen. Hence the basic thing to remember would be to have a paragraph consist of 2 or 3 sentences, and leave lots of white space between two paragraphs.

Are you trying to cite it? I am not sure my class recently wrote papers like that. My library teacher gave me a website that you submit the needed information, and it loads it into the MLA format you need. It works for everything movies, books, encyclopedias..etc.
See the related link from The OWL at Purdue which is a sample paper in APA style.
