Is there new news on Orleans homebuilder?
I bought a townhome from Realen builders in 1997. Orleans Builders purchased Realen
and all the legal law suits. In 2008, I found out that the braces that are on the joists and support the floors and ceiling were never installed in my home. I have a first floor unit and a family lives upstairs. Their running, stomping and jumping has loosen the ceiling in my home to a point that my home is about to condemn. This is also a building code violation. Don't you think Orleans Builder would repair my townhome, before I
go public with this problem??

New Orleans is sinking because it relies on the Mississippi River to overflow its banks. The silt from the Mississippi builds up the land around it just like Egypt. When they built the levees, the Mississippi River ceased to overflow its banks. Now, there are no new deposits of silt.
Plus, the barrier reefs are disappearing for the same reason. Without the barrier reefs, more powerful storms can reach the shores of New Orleans, causing more and more erosion to the land.
