If it's truly a muddy brown.. usually in a GM it's caused by the factory-installed stop-leak tablets. If it's another manufacturer or if it's a redder brown like rust, there are a few other possibilities.. oil leaking into coolant, coolant so old or weak that the system is rusting, or something was added to the system without your knowledge (stop-leak or other).

oN the 3.5 L V6 model It appeares to be under the silver casing on the F. Right side as you are looking at it. I havnt attempted to pull it out yet but it looks like one thogh.

this happened to my 98 intrigue, i replaced the spark plugs and hasn't happened yet...worse case scenario you might have to replace the spark plug wires as well but I've only replaced the plugs and its fine.

what ever the size of the spark plug socket is. get the same size deep socket without the rubber that holds the electrode it should be able to remove it. lefty loosey righty tighty. that's if the six sided nut is still attached and screwed into the head.but if it is broken after the nut not to sure what to do sorry.

get the hose running over the car while you sit inside and check for various places where the water is coming, it coule also be coming in from under the car.

This is usually caused by a leaking heater core. If the above doesn't reveal anything, then the heater core is suspect.

ON MY '99 3.5, IT'S BEHIND THE STARTER.

Sounds like your cooling system is full of air. Make sure you have it bled off properly. You could also have a blown headgasket, or have a DEX cool blockage in the system. Either way, it sounds like you need to take it to a shop and have it properly diagnosed.

Get under the car and look on the bottom of the oil pan. You change it by removing the black (usually plastic) cover. Use a 74/76 mm (15 flutes - 2 Step) size oil wrench. It makes a mess :) Pull out the old filter if it didn't fall out and gently push the new one back in. Put the cap back on. If you really get desperate for the tool, go to matcotools.com (or anyplace that sells OTC tools) and it's available mail order. To the person who originally wrote this answer-- not everyone is maechanically inclined and realizes that the black cap on the bottom of the oil pan is the oil filter housing. The filter on this engine (the 3.5L) is internal and is NOT visible by climbing under the car.. no matter how LOUDLY you type it. Be nice to other people. Access to the Oil Filter on a 1999 Intrigue appears to be blocked by a steel cap located under the engine block. It is too tight to remove by hand but does have grips on the rim as if that you are supposed to remove it by hand. It also appears to have PSI notations as if you are supposed to tighten it to a certain degree. This is the only access point under the block and the filter is otherwise not visable so I am assuming this is it. Not sure how to loosen that cap, especially with the limited torgue you can enforce lying on your back while the Olds is on ramps. Good luck! I bought a few oil wrenches from an auto part store and try to see the one that fits. The wrench is the type that hooks up to a rachet wrench. The dealer told me this is what they use, but they weld it to a piece of steel. The oil filter is under the engine block on the passenger side. Although you can get to it without doing this, it is much easier to get to by removing the right front tire. The car will be jacked up anyway if you're doing an oil change. Be sure to oil the rubber seal on the filter and hand tighten only.

For the engine, under the plastic engine cover (sight shield). For the a/c, under the right side of the dash.

The crankshaft sensor is in the front of the engine.Above the starter.You will have to drop the starter.2 15mm bolts.Look up and there it will be.

On the 99 Olds Intrigue, the camshaft sensor is located on the rear of the engine. It is just above the starter.

start small, could be a few things check battery terminals and wires. . then attempt to get a jump, if it starts. . you can check the alternator by disconnecting the negative battery cable while the car is running (if the car shuts off u need a alternator) if it stays running or if it wont start you might need a starter or a crank sensor which are both in the same location with the 3.5 or behind the harmonic balancer on other engines

The code is thrown when the exhaust system oxygen sensor does not see a stream of oxygen rich fresh air. I had the same problem and reduced the answer to a secondary air injection shutoff valve. There are two valves that are vacuum actuated, one for each manifold pipe. One valve is located on the drivers side at the front of the engine and the other valve is located on the rear passenger side near the firewall. You will have to remove the radiator surge tank to access this one. Start with the easy front one and remove the vacuum hose from the nipple. Take a spare piece of vacuum hose and attach. Using your mouth to apply vacuum and place your tongue on the end of the hose to maintain vacuum. If vacuum cannot be held then it is a diaphragm leak and cannot be fixed. If this works, do the same to the rear valve. Unfortunately this was my failed valve. This valve corresponds with the right side and is part number AC Delco 214-2114. It comes with the convoluted pipe that connects to the exhaust system but I removed it and used the existing in place pipe as it was near impossible for me to access the fasteners. If this is your problem, then compare the price at AC-Direct through Amazon. This is where I purchased my part.

Note: Left side part number is AC Delco 214-1940 The above response assumes that the existing vacuum hoses are not leaking and that the vacuum solenoid valve is working (rarely the problem).

The car wipers should not stay up but return to their original position. The wipers will stay up if the wiper motor, the wiper controller and the wiper linkage are faulty.

The Oldsmobile Intrigue does not have a timing belt. It uses gears. For cars that do have a timing belt, about 60,000 miles. But remember than some engines don't use one.

Underneath the coil packs, which are the square black rectangles with the seven bolts holding them down.

it is under front bumper below right headlight.you have to remove plastic cover and there is a union in line coming out of condenser.it is in that union

On the bottom of the overflow / surge tank (passenger-side fender)

You probably have a broken connection at the back window. First look at the connections on the glass. The wires on the glass lead to a plug. See if it is unplugged or if the connection has been torn off the glass. There may be two plug's. If they appear to be ok then check the wires on the glass. They are glued on the glass surface and if something has scratched them or cut the connection at some point it's just like cutting a wire.

The flasher location is actually behind the Hazard button (on dash right of steering wheel). To get to it, you will have to remove the center air vent assembly. Fairly easy. Use a thin screwdriver to loosen and remove the vent. There are locking tabs, and you will have to loosen the glue on the bottom. Be careful not to break it; be patient. The whole vent comes out as one piece.

Reach behind the hazard button to find two tabs that run the length of the flasher assembly. Squeeze together and the assembly pulls out. (mine has the cruise control on/off button also attached) Disconnect the wires and remove the assembly.

The hard part: use thin blades to remove the green switch from the black mount. Push in the green tabs and drive the switch forward.

There is a pitcock valve on the bottom of the radiato. On the side facing the engine. It has a T shaped handle that you can unscrew to drain the radiator, and by default the engine block. You may have to use pliers to unscrew the plug, over time dirt and corrosion can make it dificult to loosen.

The plastic headlight assembly is held in by two clips. Pull them up to release the assembly. The headlights and turn signal lamps are quarter (90°) twist-in sockets, and also need to be disconnected before you can remove the entire assembly from the car. The bulbs plug into the sockets once they are removed from the assembly.

First of all you need to remove panel around shift knob. Then remove panel around the radio. There is no screws, only simple pins. Use screwdriver from plastic or another suitable tool.
