The drivers door panel has 12 retaining clips. Pry outward on each clip, one at a time. Remove the inside door handle retaining screws.

Location is behind the plastic air dam that forces air from underneath the car to go up and into the radiator (directly in front of a/c condensor). It's somewhat of a tight space, however you can pull it with force off the plastic air dam it's connected to (about midway down) and then unclip the sensor from the harness. Just don't pull too hard once you free it from the plastic air dam. These sensors rarely need replacing. If your Dual Digital Climate Control System is giving you an incorrect reading on the display for the outside air temperature, this indicates a couple of possibilities. 1.)The sensor tip is dirty and should be cleaned, or 2.)The green or white wire that goes to this sensor is worn or has broke somewhere before the sensor. This happened to mine (green wire broke) and would always give an incorrect outside air temp. I fixed the green wire and now the system functions correctly again. If you have to replace the sensor though, it should be part# 10248414 for a 2000 Intrigue.

Where is the starter relay switch in a 1995 Nissan Quest? We were told it could either be the relay switch or the starter, because when we start our van and drive it and then turn it off, it will not start again for at least 5 hours. It does this almost every time we drive it. We have had the key/ignition tumbler replaced in it twice in the last four months.

On the passenger side of the engine, toward the front of the side. Near the alternator.

Your car has two locks on the shift lever. One is the button on the handle that you depress to shift gears. This keeps you from accidentally bumping the lever out of drive and into, say, reverse. The other lock engages when you put the car in park. It is supposed to disengage when you depress the brake pedal. This is to prevent you from putting the car into drive or reverse with your foot off the brake, which would result in the car "surging" forward or backwards as soon as it's in gear.
Unfortunately, the second lock (the "Park" lock) is prone to malfunction on the 98 intrigues. It will sometimes fail to disengage when you put your foot on the brake pedal. I recommend seeing a mechanic to have the problem fixed. On my intrigue, I tried to "wrestle" it out of park and broke both of the shift locks in the process. Now it can freely be shifted through the gears without having to press the brakes or the button on the handle.

Most folks would say 60 thousand miles, but others would say 100 thousand. I have 113k on mine, and I have minimal misfiring, but it's probably dragging down my mpg.

Probably not completely a do-it-yourself job, unless you want to become an ozone hole creator. Basic steps are as follows. This is a bit of a complex job to answer in sort of forum. For specifics on the nuts and bolts of removing the actual compressor, check your Chilton or Haynes manual or hopefully someone else will chime in.

Connect the car to a refrigerant recovery machine, pump the refrigerant into the recovery tank, remove the belt, remove and replace the compressor, reconnect recovery machine, pump out air and moisture, and recharge the refrigerant and oil.

When the system is opened, it's recommended to replace the filter drier (moisture will kill the a/c system).

A few notes: A refrigeration tech will collect the old refrigerant rather than releasing it to the atmosphere. It is a CFC, which neutralizes ozone in the atmosphere - hello global warming. Venting refrigerant is a federal crime.

Refrigerant is very costly nowadays. Even replacing it yourself you will spend about $60 or more on the refrigerant alone, if you can find it at all.

If you do it yourself, it's best to have a pro handle the refrigerant removal and recharge. If you don't, the open lines will likely collect moisture, which can lead to system failure of you new compressor or evaporator.

When it breaks. Or when you need to get in there for some other reason, like cam or crank work. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. My timing chain has been rolling along for 100K, and I've heard of many at 150K.

It is about 8 inches right of the steeringcolumn just behind the dash. You'll first need to remove the lower dash panel below the steering wheel. Then, you will also want to remove the mounting screws that hold the OBD connection and hood release. You may need to remove a piece of carpet that is held underneath the dash with plastic push pegs. You'll find a large black metal panel that runs from the left kick panel to the center console, attached by screws and bolts. The black panel will need to be removed. The bolts are attached at both sides of the steering column. You'll need a 6' extension to your socket to reach some of the bolts. Once the metal panel is removed, the actuator will be bare visible on the side of the heat/ac trunk. It is attached by 2 screws. Once the screws are removed, it is comes right off. It's a bit of a bear to work with because of the lack of space and can be intimidating, but it is doable. As with most projects, it will be much easier if I ever have to do another one.

The fuse panel cover is on the passenger side in a 1998 Oldsmobile intrigue. Same location as vehicles that have it on driver side. Just pull on it and it will pop off.

PENDING ON THE VHICLE, IT COULD BE AS SIMPLE AS A SENSOR BEING LEFT UNPLUGGED AT THE AIR CLEANER, OR A SENSOR GONE BAD, LOW OIL, CLOGGED AIR FILTER, AND OR THE CATALITIC CONVERTER CAN BE PLUGGED. IT CAN BE MANY THINGS AND I SUGGEST GETTING TH VEHICLE PLUGGED IN TO A COMPUTER. Autozone (and probably other auto stores) will read the code(s) for free. Saves going to the dealer and paying $30...

This is a pretty vague question here. if you're saying it smells like oil/antifreeze I'd start out very cheap and buy an engine degreeser and hose it down well. I had a dodge years ago that would smell like burnt oil after 15 minutes run time. the valve cover gasket had leaked massive amounts of oil near the exaust and when it got hot it would burn it off and smell really bad.I know this isn't much help but it could very well be your problem, its worth 10.00 in degreaser to find out. Dad. could be a intake gasket leaking

on the bottom of door panel there are two Philip head screws remove them first then use a butter knife and carefully slide along the edges of speaker panel when you come to a tab push down gently continue until all tabs out and carefully pull up and out there might be insulation attached to panel separate the two and speaker will be exposed. on speaker there four .25 inch screws.

remove the speaker covers from fear deck. remove the four screws that hold the speakers in the rear deck. four screws hold each speaker in place. unplug the wires from the connecters. if aftermarket speakers cut after plug and splice new speaker wires into existing factory wires. reverse the procedure to install new speakers.

Turn the key to the on position and pump the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds. You will then see the oil light flash 3 times. That is when the oil change code has been reset.

1st one is on the exhaust manifold by the last 3 cylinders facing the interior and the 2nd is almost directly under the center console shifter on top of the U-bend on the exhaust of course your might have to remove the pipe

Valve cover gasket may be leaking oil and dripping down into the spark plug wells. if gasket looks okay, try tightening the bolts on the valve cover, otherwise, replace the gasket. Gasket from the dealer will come with 3 rings and the camshaft housing cover gasket.cost around 50.00 . Because the front plug wells are right next to the oil fill port and if your not carefull when you add oil than it spills and runs down under the coil pack and into the plug wells
