Depending on engine model, remove oil filler cap and remove top plastic cover over engine...locate thermostat housing that usually is attached to first hose going to radiator. You will see a screw and fitting in the top of housing. this is the bleeder screw for cooling system. with engine idling, use a screw driver and just crack open the bleeder enough to let out the air, in a few seconds coolant will start to run out of bleeder, retighten screw and reassemble cover...CAUTION: these bleeders will not take much abuse so if its not movin with first attempt do not force it. Check your direction of turn make sure your going the right way.

I have four dtc codes on my intrigue and I was told one of them may be causing all of the codes. The codes are P0335, P0101, P0102, P1372. I just put a MAF Sensor on before I found all this out. HELP!

I have the same year intrigue also its at the bottom of the air filter box

Try completely disconnecting the battery for 1 hour then reconnect it. That should reset some door that controls the airflow. I just experienced hot air blowing on the pass side and cold air on the drivers side. I did the reset and now I have heat on both sides. Hope it works for you.

If you are refering to the vents near or on the door try toggling the switches near the steering wheel. One is marked L and the other R. You can move them up or down.

I just changed the starter in my 2000, 3.5L, V6, Oldsmobile Intrigue. I am going from memory here but the sizes should get you fairly close. The starter is held on with 2 bolts. I used a 13mm (or maybe 11mm or 12mm) socket with a 12" extender to remove the bolts. There are 2 wires attached to the starter. I used an 8mm socket (but a deep socket, the kind of socket that is ~3" long) to remove the small wire. I used ~11mm socket (deep socket) to remove the large wire. Everything was metric. It was not an overly difficult repair. Wiggling the starter in and out of position was probably the hardest part. Remember to disconnect your battery before starting.

GM development engineers decided that the Northstar V8 was too large for the Olds Intrigue line, so they chopped off 2 cylinders and called it a 3.5. The newer 3.5 that's coming in non-Olds vehicles is an extension of the old 3.4L V6.

When the AC light on the controller blinks, the unit has determined that the compressor should not run for some reason (too dry inside, too cold outside, etc.). If it blinks anytime, you might have a defective controller, but it is likely to be some sensor input telling it to NOT run. I had the same thing on mine, the controller would flash AC when I thought it needed to run, but after a few minutes of driving it would come on. The dual temp control units on these cars are screwed up. I'll never again buy a car with dual auto temp controls for just this reason.

I own a 99 olds intrique and hane the same problem. I've just bought a new blower motor for the heat/ac on advice from friend installing today will let you know results ...bought at autozone $74.00.

you may have to remove the air dam located under the rad and a/c condensor. the drain tap is inthe lower left corner of the rad. I did attempt to open the tap with a 1/4 drive ratchet and 3 inch extension and failed in the effort from the shape of the tap it appears to require a special tool. I am going to question my SnapOn tool rep at first opportunity.

No. Try tapping on the fan relay in the fuse & relay panel under the hood.

If the sensor is only reading 35 degrees however, despite the actual outside temp, that will prevent the A/C from coming on.

Replace the outside temp sensor. Problem could also be the climate control head. Read other posts about the notorious AC hot/cold problems affecting Intrigues, which has no certain solution. Before spending the money on a new outside temp sensor, if your temp is just reading low, try cleaning your battery terminals where they contact. Remember to remove the Negative first, and reattach it last. The sensor is really sensitive to voltage changes.
