How many oxygen sensors are on a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup and how many should be replaced?
There are 3 oxygen sensors and all 3 should be changed for the best performance and fuel economy.
ON THE 1995 Ram there is only one O2 sensor on the cat
Have the same problem...you need to see if it is a lose solder so you can remove the dash screws and pull out the head or you can see if you have a sensor. Look behind the oil filter and there should be a box with a wire the wire will run back to the speedometer head. Sometimes a quick fix can be to GENTLY push the wires toward the sensor. If none of this works take it in to the Nissan dealer and get it fixed it costs around 150 dollars. Check the fuses in the box they will be labeled cluster interior or dash.b Also check the fuseable links.
How do you replace the oxygen sensor on a 2001 vw beetle?
There are two of them. They are referred to as lambda senors on VW's for some
reason. I just changed the rear one on mine recently
anyway the first one is before the catalytic converter, and the second is after it.
I changed the rear one tonight.
Its located almost directly dead center of the car after the catalytic converter.
Also there is plastic cover on the passenger side of the car. that is where the wires plug in to both front and rear. You will need to take off a few nuts, and remove that cover to unplug it.
I messed around for longer then i should have trying to get the whole thing out in one piece. I opted to cut the wire off at the base of the sensor and used my biggest socket wrench to break it free.
from there installation was a snap. I just twisted in the new sensor, ran the wires thrue the loom to the cover, plugged it and put the cover back on.
It's a lot easier then i thought it would be. It's just a pain when you have a crappy floor jack.
If your light is still on. It won't reset with the new sensor. You'll have to take it to dealer or buy your own reset tool
It's just another way vw is trying to make a buck.
I'm going to work on the front sensor next weekend. hope I helped
How do you change the O2 sensor on a 1998 Ford Escort?
On the front of the exhaust manifold you will see your sensor, otherwise, it may be before the catalytic converter on the underside of your car, it helps to go out and buy a special wrench made especially for removing the O2 sensor. Unplug the sensor from it's wiring, then use the wrench to remove the sensor, don't forget to spray it down with a good lubricant such as kroil or wd-40 an let it penetrate for a few minutes before attempting to remove it.
How do you replace a P0135 sensor circuit bank 1 sensor 1?
More than likely the heater burned out in the B1 S1 O2 sensor. First locate the B1 S1 O2 sensor, it would be the one threaded into the exhaust pipe directly behind the bank of cylinders that contain the number one cylinder. Inspect the wiring leading to it looking for damage/cuts in the wiring. If the wiring looks good, disconnect the sensor from the vehicle harness, cut the wires off of the bad sensor, slip a 7/8" box wrench over the sensor and remove it by turning counterclockwise. Install the new sensor using an 7/8" open end wrench and tighten as you would a spark plug. Plug the new sensor into the vehicle harness and your done.

What is wrong if air will not flow from proper vents in a 1992 Buick Park Avenue?
Make sure there is vacuum going from the intake into the inside of the car. If it is, the problem is in the programmer and needs to be checked out by a mechanic. There is a small metal black box 1"x2"x1" with about 6 hoses running into it on the top of your intake manifold, and most likely a disconnected hose coming from a big black plastic box on your firewall, your vents don't open from the magic buttons on the dash, it uses the vaccum from the intake.....that same problem boggled my mind for about 3 months till I was changing the spark plugs one day and found a hose that went nowhere =P

Where is the oxygen sensor located on a 1995 cadillac deville 4.9L?
Today is your lucky day, I just changed both of my oxygen sensors on the same year and motor. The first one is located directly on the exhaust manifold in front of radiator as you open your hood on the car look straight down and you will see it. The other sensor is a little more difficult to find by looking straight in the engine. The second sensor is located near the firewall on the exhaust manifold. The only problem is, you have to get underneath the car to remove the sensor. Just follow your converter directly toward the engine intake manifold and you will see it, make sure you have a flashlight, regardless of how much daylight is outside. Once I got under the car a found it, it was easy to come off and replace. Good luck! rljenkins66@aol.com
