Ok I bought an apartment with a recessed light fixture in the shower.

The bulb blew out and its been driving me nuts trying to figure out how to fix it, but I finally figured it out.

The lens cover sits absolutely flush against the ceiling. I put my fingernails beneath the rim of cover (around the outside of the fixture between it and the ceiling) and pulled straight down as hard as I could. I thought I was going to pul the entire fixture out of the ceiling, but instead, the lens cover finally lowered. It was held on by a pair of U-shaped springy wires that put pressure on the inside of the lighting fixture and holds it in place.

So pretty much, to remove the lens cover, I had to pry it off. Then once I changed the bulb, I simply pushed the cover back in place

So, when I hear the "hootin' and hollerin'", I giggle and laugh. I don't see it, but if that's the way men do, I can't change their perspective. It's mine I have to work on. So, the best way to deal with it, and to do what I have to every day is to laugh.

I hate when people look at me. I really do. So, I have learned to walk with my head held high and look straight forward. I will go into the store and get what I need, ignoring what I hear and tune it out. If I catch someone's eye, I will politely say hello, then continue walking on. I had to make myself learn to do that. And it says so much about you, when you don't walk looking at the ground. Look straight forward and tell yourself you have a job to do (whether it's going to the post office, or grocery store, or even taking your car to the dealership where you know there are herds of men) but it's the way you present yourself and the react - or don't react.

It's your life.. Don't let anyone else control it.. especially strangers.. (and even more especially - men.. ). You deserve to be happy, but it comes from inside.. not the outside..

Personally, I would stand my ground and let God handle it. But that is up to the individual. The last time someone tried to hurt me an angel violently tured him around and sent him on his way. That was a sight. The Lord has protected me all my life so I don't worry about this kind of thing happening to me. If you are close to God as he wants you to be in His way through Jesus His son, you don't have to worry about this. If not, you're on your own.
