I'm pretty sure its the car key? Turn the key counter clockwise until the motor shuts off, then nothing will occur.

According to Chilton's service manual, the probable causes are, P0700 code is the Automatic transmission control system malfunction, and the P0638 code is the Throttle actuator control range/performance (bank 1).

The Chilton's service manual for the 2002-2007 Saturn Vue, Part number 62390 can be purchased at O'Reilly Auto Parts for $19.95 plus tax, they may have to order it for you. It took me two business days to receive mine. Haynes also has a manual for the same years for the Vue. Auto Zone may be able to get it also.

You reset the computer with an OBD2 scan tool. Or some times if it is not a hard code by that i mean a real problem you can disconect the batt. for a hour this some times work but the newer cars are harder and harder to do this with

If you mean the Saturn L200, the instructions are pretty clear in the owner's manual (look up change oil warning). I don't have the manual with me, so I am going from memory, but I know you take the cover off the fuze box (behind the battery), there is a red reset button. With the key on, but engine off, hold the button down for several seconds. I think the light flashes, then turn the key off and back on. the light should go off. Don't forget to replace the cover. Hope this helps.

You probably have a electric fuel pump and if you will pause after you turn the key on, to give the pump enough time to pump the gas from your tank to the engine, it should be alright..... if that dnt work i just ahd this problem on an RX8, check to see if ur fuel filter is clean if it is, temp take off u cat converter... and try and start it, if it starts ur engine is getting to much fuel and its taking the excess to the cat and melting everything inside... if its the cat, then u also will need to change somthing in ur intake or just go strait pipes if u state allows it, and old cat converters sell for 300-400$

Not necessarily. However, you should always have a qualified machine shop resurface the head for you whenever you replace a head gasket. While resurfacing the head, the machine shop technician will be able to examine the valves, seats and stem seals and be able to tell you what additional work needs to be done.

The fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. You'll need to remove the tank to replace the pump. Don't forget to disconnect the battery first, at least the negative terminal.

On the 2001 SL1 it is located on the left-hand (passenger) side of the cylinder head. Two small wires plug into it. Note: Be sure to wrap the threads of the new cooling send unit with teflon tape before uninstalling the old unit and installing the new unit. If your fast enough, you will loose very little coolant.

Typically it is located on the DRIVERS side of the block, left side as you you sit in the car, nearest the coolant return line. My 2000 is this way.

Apparently you are having an overheating problem and you suspect the radiator cooling fan. First thing you want to check is if the thermostat is not stuck closed. Open the hood, remove the radiator cap and start the engine. When normal operating temperature is reached, carefully look into the radiator filler neck. You should be able to see water circulating. If the fan motor doesn't come on by that time, then it could be that the radiator fan sensor switch or the radiator fan motor are at fault (maybe even both). After the engine cools down, wire the fan motor direct to see if it will run, if it does, replace the sensor switch. If the fan motor doesn't run, replace the fan motor before you buy a new sensor. If after replacing the fan motor, the fan still doesn't run, then replace the sensor. You don't have to run the engine to an overheating point to see if the fan will run, it should come on when the engine reaches normal operating temperature.

The trim piece around the air vents / stereo / heat controls can be pried off first. Just go to the bottom and pull gently. The only thing attached at the back is the Trac button so watch that at the top. Once off there are two bolts holding the stereo in a chassis that includes the little storage box (in my car anyway). There are 2 screws on either side of the stereo attaching it to the chassis. At the back of mine there was actually 2 harnesses. One was the actual feed to power and the speakers and the other was between there and the stereo. They are easily removed. Hope this helps.

About 6.5 hrs for a professional, from what I can gather. Generally, a non-professional should not work on an automatic transmission. You have to remove the transmission valve body and remove the solenoid & clean all the parts w/ GM brake cleaner or equivalent. This is what I have found after researching it for my car. I am taking mine to a transmission shop.

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON, vehicle will not start.

3. Observe the SECURITY telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF.

4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes. The vehicle is now ready to

relearn the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition

from OFF to CRANK.

6. Start the engine. The vehicle has now learned the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or password.

7. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed. History DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles.

You either have a bad oxygen sensor or a vacuum leak. Code P1133 indicates a faulty heated oxygen sensor but a vacuum leak could also cause this code.

there are 4 spark plugs on the 2.2 L engine installed under the Ignition Module. Remove the 4 10mm bolts on top of the engine that hold down the black plastic cover and lift out. All 4 sparkplug boots are attached.

I just learned yesterday you have to take it to a GM or Saturn dealer as it is a sealed transmission, they have a special tool. If you attempt to remove the cap yourself it is spring and pressure loaded so it will pour fluid everywhere and you won't be able to refill it or put the cap back on. This is what two mechanics told me and from looking at the cap I feel pretty sure they are correct.

I have a Saturn 2001 300 L . The lights on the inside of car wont work.

According to the manual for my 2000 Saturn SL1, it means low coolant. Im certain it means the same for your Saturn.

any good mechanic can do a set of rear brakes in a matter of minuites, assuming your drums or rotors are in good shape and can be machined. (machining process may take 30min or so) as to price, most places have a pre set price. Tires plus for example has a preset price of 89.99, this includes pads or shoes, and machining of drums or rotors. if you need new drums or rotors, or if you need any springs or retainer bolts, this cost will rise accordingly

Blown fuse.

Double check all the timing marks, be sure they are all pointing where they should.

Pull the fuses out and see witch one has visible brek in it.The owners manual has all the fuses in it.Needle nose pliers should be helpful

Pure water will freeze below 32 and water tends to expand as it freezes. It could damage the engine block, heads and radiator among other things. If you could get the car to run the engine block will melt the water in the engine but the parts that don't melt will trap the water as it becomes super heated. Head gaskets, the heads themselves and the engine block can be damaged. The superheated water will be like a bomb and will eventually get out somewhere in the system.

On a Saturn there are metal clips that hold the bumper to the fender. One of these fell off of my 2001 SL1. It was fairly easy to replace, but should never have happened. It just simply clips in place once you line the bumper with the fender. I think these clips are in place all the way around the bumper. It was the passenger's side of mine that came off.
