I am guessing they mean Oil change reset button. If so. There is a reset button in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Turn your key half way, open the fuse box, press and hold the button for 15 seconds, look at your dash. If the light is flashing you have reset the oil life indicator.

High static pressure on low side of line (100 psi) on 2002 L series. It had been working fine fine. Parked it for 2 hours in 90 degree ambient temp and came back to no air. Compressor clutch not engaging. Fuses and relays in under-hood fuse block appear okay. Could not add R-134. Don't have gages. Any thoughts welocme.

The security light should stay lit for about 10 seconds then go out.
If that happens then the VATS (Vehicle Anti-Theft System) system (little resistor chip in your key) is functioning properly.
If it doesn't work just like that, then VATS should be disabling the car and it won't even crank.

To replace the license plate lamps, do this (all of this is done from outside of the car): 1. Open the trunk lid so you'll have easier access to the license plate area. 2. Using a philips-type screwdriver, remove the lenses from the two lamp areas above the license plate. You'll probably need to pry them loose, but carefully. (BTW, now's a good time to clean them, right? Sure!) 3. Pry the bulbs from their sockets, replacing both of them. 4. Replace both lamp socket lenses. Done! (I've done this, and it really is this simple...)

Perhaps people are looking on this site BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE AN OWNERS MANUAL!! Telling people to get an owners manual is not a lame answer. If everyone had an owners manual there would be far less questions. Everyone needs an owners manual for more than just knowing what type oil to use. There is a Maintenance Schedule in the owners manual that you need to follow to the letter if you want that expensive automobile to last a long time. I am amazed that anyone would own a car and not have an owners manual. It is so very easy to acquire one. Dealer, salvage yard, on-line manuals, and on-line sites that sell manuals. I say again, get yourself an owners manual and you want be on here asking questions, where the answer can be found in your owners manual. I would also recommend highly for anyone a Chiltons or Haynes manual. I prefer the Chiltons. Owners manuals for sure but if you really want to get into it yourself, these provide all the teardowns and rebuilds.

The car is equiped with a security feature that will automaticall shut down the engine when activated. Your ignition key has a resitor chip on it, and when you insert the key into the ignition the computer measures the resistance to make sure it is the right key. If someone tries to start the car with a key that does not have the right resistance it will not start. If your key gets wet or if moisture builds uo inside the ignintion switch, it will slightly alter the resistance and the computer may not let the car start. If the resistance is close, the car will still run but the security light will remain on.
