If you are a National Merit Semifinalist what is the SAT cutoff to be Finalist?
My son is a semifinalist in NJ. (cutoff 221) He scored a 1990 on his SAT (he had a bad day). After scoring a 33 on the ACT he decided not to take the SAT again. He was told that he is not a finalist due to his "low" SAT score. We were told that by NMSC that they add up math, English scores plus ONLY THE MULTIPLE CHOICE score for writing on the SAT. If it is under 1960 the semifinalist cannot qualify for finalist. Even though my son got a 1990 the score minus the essay score of 11 added up to 1940.

I really don't think that's going to happen. Not in the US. However, I will say your best bet for Loans and Grants wil be at a Medical Center affiliated school, that has specific nursing needs. Like Sloan- Kettering will naturally want more Oncology nurses than a small regional hospital.Ask your school guidance counselor to point you in the right direction, now that you have a specific goal in mind. That's what they get paid for.
What are the odds of an entire family being left handed?
The chances depend on the genetics of the parents. For example, if the father of the soon-to-be child writes with his left hand and has a dominate left handed trait and the mother of the soon-to-be child writes with her left hand and has a dominate left handed trait than the child is suspected to write with his or her left hand. But like I said, it all depends on genetics.

What kind of scholarships does USC offer?
USC administers more than a dozen types of scholarships. It would be difficult to find a top 30 national university that offers more generous scholarships than USC. Each year USC offers 100 four-year Trustee Scholarships that cover the entire cost of tuition at USC, which presently (as of March 2010) is almost $40,000 per school year. Each year USC offers 200 four-year Presidential Scholarships that cover half the cost of tuition at USC. USC also awards half-tuition scholarships to all National Merit Finalists admitted to USC who name USC as their first choice school on a form filed with the National Merit Corporation. Through various alumni or current student groups, USC also administers scholarship programs for students in various ethnic groups, for international students, for Jewish students, for children and grandchildren of alumni, for students from California, and for LGBT students. Various schools within USC also offer partial scholarships and of course USC offers athletic scholarships as well. Furthermore, USC offers scholarships each year to current students who had high GPAs for the previous school year at USC. USC also offers scholarships to transfer students and offers need-based grants that do not have to be repaid.
What are some scholarship websites?
If you are talking about scholarship for admission then following colleges provides good scholarship schemes:
1.Lovely Professional University
2.Amity University
3.Anna University
4.Jaypee Univresity
Else you can check: Zinch.com and Scholarships.com are the other two that I would definitely recommend. Both of those sites list scholarship databases, but also offer scholarships of their own.
Something to know is that a lot of scholarship sites just lease data from one of the big sites, so once you have checked out the major sites, looking at smaller sites you will usually just start finding duplicates.
