How can you tell if someone committed suicide or just an overdose?
It is sometimes hard to tell. Was there a note? Were there any witnesses?
Your father tried to commit suicide what should you do?
make sure your father is ok. try talking to him ask him what is wrong so you can help him. i tried to commit suicide.... i am 14 i lived past it and i feel better now. help your one and only father.
I have read your question on the internet and I feel so sad you are going
through this situation in your life. I can relate as I remember when I was
younger feeling so unworthy of love and also that nobody understood me.
What I am trying to say is that it might feel like you are the only one
going through this pain -but in fact there are many who have these
feelings. Don't you know of anyone at school or at your college whom you
think might feel the way you do? This might not be an answer to your
situation - but perhaps if you can find someone whom you feel might need a
friend you can share your feelings with each other. Suicide is not the
answer as any way you try it - its going to be very painful.
I would suggest you make a list of all the good things you feel about
yourself. It doesn't necessarily have to be about looks or intelligence -
but maybe you are good at being kind to people. It might be that you have
a nice handwriting. It might be that your pet loves you. Try to find the
good things and write them down.
There is someone in this world that cares about you - otherwise I would not
be replying to your call for help.
No you can not not let your self die do not listen what people say to you people out there i mean so if you listen to them you will hurt your self
I would say that diphenhydramine (brand name Benadryl) is not likely to kill you at any reasonable dosage. It's not very lethal at all, and there seem to be no lethality information on this drug for humans.
If you use the LD 50 for mice and extrapolate it to humans, you're talking literally pounds of this medication.
However, your message disturbs me. It seems you are considering killing yourself and your question feels so sad. I hope and ask that before you actually try this, you at least chat once with one of the suicide prevention groups that may be able to suggest some alternative. If you're set on killing yourself, what harm can one call do? :}
In the US, try these folks:
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-TALK (8255)
If you want to chat more about this, or have more questions to ask, please let me know and I'll do the best I can to help.

How many people die each day from suicide?
In 2010 there was an average of 105 people who dies from suicide every single day. The death toll from suicide continues to rise each and every year.
Yes and no. It is part of God's design for all to die. However, chances are, it is not God's plan for you to die right now. When the time is right, it will happen. Trying to make it happen sooner than appointed can be argued to be murder and playing God. Even neglect is a bad idea, since we are all expected to be good stewards of the resources we are given, and our own life is a very precious resource.
If you have the guts to kill yourself then no. But mainly people commit suicide
when they are depressed or when they are not living a good life.
But it depends......
No and yes. Generally, persistent thoughts about suicide (whether personalized or not) would be considered suicidal ideation. However, the issue becomes much more urgent if the thoughts are specific to a person ending his or her own life.

No, it's not. Just because you think about suicide doesn't mean you want to commit suicide. I mean, if you think about joining the army a lot [sorry, I know it's a bad example] doesn't necessarily mean you want to be in the army. I think about that, too, but that doesn't mean I want to go kill myself. Share your thoughts with a close friend or something. Chances are, they've thought about it, too.

Suicide Ideation is a common feature of many mental health problems.
Suicidal Ideation (SI) refers to the thoughts about taking one's own life with some degree of intent. SI with some intent does not necessarily mean that a person is an imminent risk to self; further assessment is needed. It is imperative that all SI is taken seriously and explored to determine the level of risk. A professional clinician should assess the plan, motivation, and level of intent to determine the intervention needed, if any.
Yes and No.
Statistically speaking people who tell others about wanting to suicide, or take some pills then call an ambulance, generally most of the time just want help.
Most suicides of people actually dying, no one ever even new there was anything wrong, they just find them dead.
I think the point is that suicidal ideation is a symptom of a mental health issue that should be looked into. Most ppl might think about suicide but to ideate it means it is a persistant thought.

Yes, they are. Society places more importance on physical accomplishments, such as sports. They are therefore left out of activities with other children.
