Why do so many people Hang themselves from Bullying or Cyber Bullying?

Because they are sick of people who BULLY them, they feel depressed and hurt and also heart broken so they hang themselves because their sick of all those wanna be bullies.

So a message to the bullies if you think its appropriate for you to bully others then STOP IT and think of the consequences you will face later on, on your future, and think about what God thinks of you and would he be happy for you? No, He won't be, but if you STOP NOW then its not too late to do that because He will forgive you no matter, if its BIG or SMALL he loves everyone and wants the best for all of us so think about it! Just REPENT its the best choice to do.

Another view:

Caution must be taken when discussing this topic so as not to blame the victims nor their parents. Ultimately, the bullies are responsible. Bullying has always been around and has always been quite cruel. For some reason, suicide rates related to bullying have only climbed. There are some theories on this:

1. There is an increase in single parent homes and other nonstandard family arrangements. It seems that children with 2 loving biological parents of the opposite sex who are married and living with the child and who are mature and respect the entire family is the most optimum arrangement for the child and leads to children with a more independent spirit and more ability to cope with outside emotional pressure. Outside of this, care has to be taken to make sure that children of all backgrounds have healthy role models of both sexes and any missing elements of parenthood somehow supplemented or augmented.

2. Self-esteem (and thus resilience to bullying) is also linked to consistent discipline. As child welfare services has increased and parents have become afraid to discipline their children because of a threat of prison, some parents don't discipline at all or use ineffective strategies. Discipline, in addition to teaching children to master their own emotions, gives a child a sense of belonging and self-worth. Discipline teaches the child to respect themselves and others. So a person who respects themselves will be more likely to stand up to bullies, be more secure, and be less likely to want to kill themselves. They will know that they belong to their parents even if they belong to no peer group.

3. Neglect of spiritual practices may also be a reason why more kill themselves these days after being bullied. Due to the Supreme Court's decisions, schools cannot really teach such things. While this preserved the right of people of all faiths (or none) to not be proselytized by the government, and perhaps reduced one form of bullying, it left quite an inner void. From the practical side, it isn't so much the exact beliefs that are important as it is the spiritual practice, discipline, added dimension to life, and a sense of purpose. Even if one were abused by their parents and ridiculed and bullied by their peers, they still had someone they could turn too, real or imaginary, who would never leave them, forsake them, nor hate them no matter what. Maybe it is time that schools add in neutral spiritual practices like moments of silence, meditation, imagination, and so on, but without preaching nor religious discussion. Spirituality encompasses a broad spectrum of practices and does not require religion. Even atheists can be at some sort of peace once they have settled all the deep inner questions. With the inner questions answered, bullying may affect a person a tad less overall.

Why would someone commit suicide by shooting themselves in the heart?

It seems like a very gory way to go. It might be a metaphor for being heartbroken. It also might be a parting message - that the deceased person was actually in a lot of (mentally and/or physical) pain even though they didn't let on. They also might have felt that they deserved a dramatic way for them to go by watching themselves bleed out. It could also be that they believed it was the most irreversible method.

Why do many people hang themselves because they were bullied?

  • Victims of bullying feel alone; alienated from their peers and even their family. Bullying can cause a person to become ill; stomach trouble; not eating well; not sleeping enough or sleeping too much; low grades in school; either rejecting the friends they have or not making friends; have extreme low self esteem; feelings of high anxiety with a feeling there is no way out for them and thus, they become extremely depressed. People who are bullied (especially young people) will not only choose hanging; but cutting their wrists; taking an over dose of medications (often medications their parents may have in their home) jumpingoff a high area or drowning themselves. Laws are changing to protect the victims of bullying and the laws are also changing to make minors responsible for the cause of a victim's death.

When you jump off a bridge what happens?

It really depends on the height of the fall. I have a friend who jumped off a 50 foot bridge into water and she said it only stung the skin. I wouldn't advise jumping off unless you know the length of the fall and how deep the water is. If the water is too shallow you could seriously injure yourself, or even die. Same if the height of the fall is too great.

Eg: investors often commit suicide when they see that they have lost all the money they invested.

What are the suicide watch procedures?

Within an institution or crisis setting a person is generally put on a one-to-one observation ratio. This is the optimal choice for the patient as they have someone nearby at all times to observe and prevent them from harming themselves. Sometimes it may be necessary to confine them to a room. In this case they may be placed in a room with nothing but a paper gown to cloth them so they have nothing to harm themselves with. In other cases a person could be physically restrained with straps to a bed or chair. The procedures vary with place and situation.
