Suicide Warning Signs, Statistics, and Prevention

To the person who was to commit suicide , no not really I mean in most suicide cases the individual wants to end the pain therefore they take there own life , but for the family and friends yes it is very painful

Women attempt suicide more compared to men. the symptoms are most times a person in depression, a recent loss of a loved one, low self-esteem, many people decrease in their eating habits or change in sleeping patterns. the biggest warning sign is if a person previously attempted suicide.
suicide is something you do. its not a condition. its not a sickness. its soething you do. so you cant have symptoms of suicide. there are signs that show of tht someone may COMMIT suicide, like if they are sad and depressed or if they are emo and cut themselves. then you should try to talk them out of it.

You should know that things don't have to be this way. Things can change, things can get better. You've taken a good first step and realized there is a problem. Better yet, you are reaching out for help. You should find out why you are depressed. Is it work? School? Relationships? Money? Sickness? Life in general? If you have a depressed feeling you can't shake and there seems to be nothing that is directly causing it, then you may have a depressive disorder. Go see a doctor who can help you, and find out if there is anything physical that can be fixed to help your depression. Seeking counselling is also a good idea. You can also read about depression online and get a better feel of what you are dealing with. You should also discuss your feelings and thoughts about suicide and depression with family or someone you trust. There's always hope and there will be at least one person who understands you and why you feel that way. You should also know that you are not alone in your feelings. There are thousands of people who go through the struggles you feel. Remember that depression is not a joke and should be taken seriously by those around you. If they don't understand that then it's best not to be around those people. Also remember depression isn't something that you should be ashamed of. I can not remember the name of the photographer .... but some time ago I got some very, very disturbing pictures via email of Africa in all it's misery. Pictures of starving children picking up grains of rice off a dusty road after the UN food truck has gone by. One picture was of a child with his face buried in a starving cows privets waiting for it to urinate. The last picture was of three vultures following a child as he/ she dragged his/her body through the dirt looking for food. The photographer who captured these images shot himself in NY 6 months after his return from Africa. Diane probably fueled her fascination for the twisted so much that she couldn't stand it in her middle age. Van Gough shot himself in his mid 30's. I'm sure you'll find lots more artists who'd have done the same. These are my unsubstatiated thoughts based purely on gut feel. So take it as that.

Look, this will probably sound really soppy and all but here's your answer... in my opinion. You've probably heard this a million times, but it's true: Life is what you make of it. Ask yourself... why does your life suck? Get a piece of paper and just list all of the answers. Then, try and find a way to throw these problems out of your life. If there are so many problems that they fill the paper front and back, you may want to consider starting your life afresh. By this I am NOT referring to suicide at all. I mean stuff like; moving somewhere new, starting a new job or even starting a family. Consider the above - by committing suicide you are probably missing out on the best of life.

Later in life the bully may realize the weight of those actions and suffer as well.

If you have such idea, ask for help from a psychiatrist, he can prescribe you a good medicine to reverse this bad idea. This is called depression, and has total condition of be cured. Go ahead, bud. In the state of Florida, they absolutely can. Suicidal Ideation, attempts, text messaging, any of it can be used to do an involuntary 72 hour Baker Act, I'm not familiar with other states laws, or if Baker Act is federal or not.

If you talk about how good their life was and what they have accomplished, it may raise their self-esteem and persuade them to keep on living.

This question does not really specify from what standards. Ethically, or by the rules? and Ethics are also variable. However, the majority of ethical theories say despite any back-lash, helping others is the right thing to do. Telling someone in a place of power might help, but does not always. Despite an unhelpful power-holder, most ethic theories agree to take the problem personally. If we are talking about verbal bullying, then perhaps the best thing to do is to argue back. Physical bullying is different. Remember, running away from a fight you cannot win is not cowardice, and even the greatest aviator in history would run away from a fight.

Killing oneself is not the answer to get even with bullies because bullies have no morals; they probably wouldn't care, but your family and other friends would go through hell missing that person and it is important for that victim of bullying to realize that they are much loved by family and friends even if they don't feel like they are loved. It is important to talk to someone such as a school counselor; Pastor; parents or trusted friend. More and more States in the United States and Provinces in Canada are putting programs together (involving the police) to stop any type of bullying. Some schools in the United States and Canada have the good students starting programs to protect victims of bullying. Bullying is the number one topic even in the media and more and more people are become more proactive to protect the victims of bullying and also to change the laws that bullies who are minors can be charged and pay for any psychological or physical damage to a victim of bullying and also be responsible for the death of a victim of bullying. If someone kills themselves over bullying then they are letting the bully win. It is important for the victim of bullying to realize much more is being done to help and the victim has to only reach out and touch someone for help. Once through school and the victim is no longer a minor the memories of being bullied will fade and that person will have a good life syle and be stronger for surviving the bullying.

When the war is ended, soldiers come back to their families. Some feel really guilty and go slightly mad from the experience, then commit suicide. Also, some people whose family members have died in the war commit suicide.

Unfortunately, there is really no way that we can know that. Scripture gives very little information about the topic of suicide. There are many people that have had near death experiences that claim they went to hell until they were medically revived. Whether these are real or just the human brain shutting down when death is near is hotly debated.

We may never really know if the act of suicide means automatic damnation, so it's best to err on the side of caution. The horrors of hell will be so much more drastic than anything that can happen to a person during his/her life on earth. So no matter how bad things seem in a person's life, it's a real party compared to what hell has in store for sinners.

You should not commit suicide from bullying because escaping the problem is not a solution to the problem. Instead of feeling sorry for the situation, there are many ways on how one can alleviate and solve the problem. There are authorities or school personnel, whom one can talk to, in order to report these issues.
