My name is PiggyGirl1 and I truly agree with your question so many people have posted videos on you tube about the end of the world and have posted internet sites about it, but truthfully and honsetly I beileve that they are trying to scare us. Yes the Mayan calander still exists, but it was made by an ancient tribe known as the mayans and there calander resets on Dec 21 2012. I am not trying to scare you. Also I am not saying the world will end, I just wanna let you know that I was asking the same questions you are asking right now. I got myself so worked up about it and soo scared that I was having panic attacks where I couldn't sleep or eat, just research about the end of the world. I realized that I have family who loves me so much and I have friends who I really like spending time with. So don't let it get to you the way it got to me. Just be happy and live your life.
