The theme music "Meet the Flintstones" was composed by Hoyt Curtin with lyrics by Joseph Barbera and William Hanna, the shows creators. Hoyt Curtin, Music Director, also composed the theme and background music for every episode of The Flintstones, as well as around 300 Hanna Barbera cartoons. The song was actually a reworking of sad music already composed for one of the episodes and was recorded with a 22-man jazz band and five singers For the movie The Flintstones (1994), the original music was done by Davis Newman.

Mission in 2006. Fred recently retired as Director of a Cyber-
seniors computer training program, which he developed 10
years ago & was held at Break Away Technologies - a computer
training and research institute in Los Angeles.
He has been saved and filled with the Holy Ghost since 1983
and answered God's call to ministry in 1992. Fred Berry is an
Ordained Elder with the Church of God in Christ under Bishop
Charles Blake and founded a Para-church organization called
Joshua Ministries, Inc. In 2004, Fred & Wilma were ordained as
an apostle/prophet team with Christian International, a
ministry founded by Apostle Bill Hamon.
In 2006, Fred and Wilma Berry re-opened the Azusa Street
Mission location and were commissioned by Apostle Bill
Hamon and the Christian International Board of regents to
Pastor the new Azusa Street Mission. Since that time of
commissioning they have taught the Apostolic Prophetic
training sessions on Azusa Street and have graduated over 300
pastors and leaders into the present truth of God's word
concerning the gifts of the Spirit and the prophetic realm.
Apostle Berry has a Holy Spirit inspired love of biblical and
natural history and seeks to teach others about our historic
legacy through an annual event called the Azusa Street Festival.
Fred and Wilma Berry affectionately known, as "God's Living
Flint-Stones" will celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary
July 2011.

First off Fred is a hard work blue collar worker who tends to be a loud mouth and often gets into trouble due his "off beat" personality. His character is modeled after the Homemoners Ralph Cramdon which may further explain the addition of the tie as a means of making Fred a bit more credible than a clown-like bumbling fool. As in the Ralph in the Homemooners, Fred Flintstone is a loving father, and husband, a good friend to Braney and generally a really nice guy. It could be to take the rough edges off of him his creators gave him his tradmarke prehistoric fashioned necktie. His tie is always one solid color and has a rough unfinished look which lends itself to his other apparel. I searched Google images and only found one image of Fred without a necktie and always he had a symetrical tie knot, that looks like a Windsor.
