Timing and Firing Orders

The firing order on a Toyota supra turbo is 1,5,3,6,2,4

2.8 and 3.1 liter V6=>1-4-6-3-2-5; 3100 V6 engine is 5-2-3-6-4-1. All of these start on the left side of the distributor/coil unit and move right. Cylinder position is as follows (looking at the engine from the front) ___________________ [ 1 3 5 ] [ ] [ ] [ 2 4 6 ] ------------------- front

sound like a 1983 720 which is a 4 cyl and has 8 spark plugs the firing order is 1342.

There are three kinds of 302s made from 1982-2001.

5.0L HO This engine was used in 1983-1995 Mustangs, Mark VII Lincolns, and some T-birds and Cougars. All Explorer 5.0L engines are 5.0L HO engines as well. They use the 351W firing order, 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. Except for the 1983-84 Mustangs, all of these engines are roller cam equipped. They use a reverse rotation water pump and front cover. The 1994-5 Mustang and all Explorers use a unique front cover and water pump.

5.0L Full Size Car This engine was used in 1982-1990 Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis. They use the 289-302 firing order, 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. Most of these cars are not roller cam equipped, however sometime in the early 1990s they started using roller cams but retained the 302 firing order. They use a standard (clockwise) rotation water pump and front cover.

5.0L Truck (except Explorer) These engines are similar to the Full Size Car engines, except they use different intake manifolds and camshaft profiles. They also use the 289-302 firing order, 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. They also began using roller cams sometime in the early 1990s. They use a reverse rotation water pump and front cover.

I'm looking for the same answer sort of... i know you need to tilt the engine forward, I'm just trying to find out if you need any special tools. I've heard "talk" about dismounting the engine by removing the front bolts above the radiator and then rocking the "SH*T" out of your car in park until the engine rocks forward and then slamming on the brakes. Sounds more destructive than anything. But i guess that's what they do at the mechanic. Could be true, if they break anything, you'll probably go back for them to fix it. :)

The firing order for a 2001 Mazda MPV is 1, 4, 2, 5, 3, 6. The 3 cylinders closest to the firewall are numbers 3, 2, 1 when viewed from left to right.

The distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE

The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap faces AWAY from the engine

The engine cylinders are numbered 1 to 6 , front to rear

Always check lenght! top three have the longest cords, bottom three go long medium small to reach the Cap at the end. The top three are 1,3,5 and the bottom are 246. When putting the wires in, be sure to use Dielectric Grease! the side of the cap says the firing order when you put the wires in. Hope this helps!

Firing Order 1-4-2-5-3-6 #1 cylinder is on the right (passenger)side of the truck.

1996 Chevrolet Lumina is Front Wheel Drive, so should look a little something like this:

on my 1993 caravan it tells the firing order on top of the throttle body. hope this helps.
